   Our experience at Citizen Kane's was disappointing. We selected Citizen Kane's for a birthday dinner based on the OpenTable and local press reviews but left wondering how anyone rates CK's so highly. The service was fantastic - Kevin and the team worked together seamlessly and produced great results. Water glasses were filled as we were sitting down, bread was delivered before we placed our drink orders, we waited only a couple of minutes for our drinks, and the main course was delivered immediately after we finished our salads. Receiving and paying the bill were equally timely and efficient. We were out in 70 minutes but did not feel rushed. Undoubtedly the best service we have experienced for years. Food quality and noise are where Citizen Kanes' missed the mark badly. I had the mixed grill special - grilled pork loin and a sirloin. My wife had the tenderloin medallions which were better quality meat than the sirloin but were still not top quality. Both mains were nearly $60 but were no better than what we could have had at Texas Roadhouse. CK's menu includes prime beef for their NY strip and ribeye. I guess we should have tried one of those to confirm if CK's properly earns the lofty reviews for their steak. They certainly did not do so for the meat they served us. We were seated upstairs (CK's is in an 1880's house) in a large open room that probably originally been several bedrooms. I'm guessing some of the guests would get thrown out of a library for talking too loudly, but it seemed that everyone had to talk loudly to enable others at their table to hear. We largely ate in silence as we could not hear one another without shouting. Don't go to CK's expecting a quaint, historic home that offers a lot of unique photo opportunities. Yes, it is in an historic home but there is nothing special about the facility other than the age. The dining areas are bland and the rest rooms are functional but not super clean.

   Came for the First time for my fiancés birthday/newly engagement celebration. Everyone was so nice and proactive. Just wish we were asked if we were celebrating anything to actually experience the celebration for both.

   I've visited this restaurant several times and it usually does not disappoint. This last trip was disappointing. The steak was overcooked, the barbecue shrimp was heavily seasoned but not in a way that enhanced its flavor, and I struggled to find any hint of lemon or parmesan that was promised in the broccoli side dish. Hopefully I just caught them on a bad night.

   Worth the money . Yes it’s in an old house but it’s unique . Services was great and they have the best steak

   Everything was excellent! Although we were underwhelmed by the presentation, the steaks were perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich and the sides were so flavorful.

   So, this is a little different but I had mad a reservation for me and my wife a few days in advance. Sadly on the day of our reservation, my mother passed away and not wanting to leave him by himself, I went to change the reservations to three guest. But there was. Nothing available. So I called the restaurant and they were very sympathetic and accommodated us for three guest. When we arrived, everyone was so pleasant and kind and maybe they all knew. Idk. What I do know is that we had a wonderful time and it was exactly what my father needed even if it was a short distraction. I so very much enjoy this restaurant! The food is amazing and the staff are all very wonderful.

    The whole experience was great for our 46th anniversary. The salad and steak were excellent! The carrot cake, not so much. Need to drop carrot cake and add crème brûlée. Not a place for handicapped people.
