Nestled on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Farnham Royal, and just a stone’s throw from Burnham Beeches National Nature Reserve, our 230 year old Inn offers an excellent environment to meet and get together. First time here after driving past for many years. Very pleased we tried it Very welcoming, excellent service, good menu with plenty of choices, good prices. Food was all extremely tasty & well presented They had a good children’s menu. Food service was timely but not rushed. Great that water was constantly topped up. Can’t fault it, will be back. Thank you

Family Sunday roast lunch for 6: 4 roast sirloin , 1 roast pork with crackling & 1 roast lamb. They all came with mixed veg of mange toute, roast carrots and broccoli, plus roast pots, cauliflower cheese and large individual Yorkshire puddings and were of good quality and well cooked. This resulted in 6 empty plates. The service was friendly and efficient.

Wonderful space. Really helpful and friendly staff. Let us sit around playing games afterwards too with no onward bookings. Thanks guys!!! Only reason for not 5* food is limited veggie options. Value of food very, very fair for the quality of food and venue, but does add up fast if on three courses.

In short Christmas Day Lunch. Service between 4 courses far too long, taking over 4 hour We skipped the 4 course as we were not happy to wait another hour . Food was average. Not cooked well. Veg under cooked, Roast Potatoes were over cooked and leathery skins. Over priced at £150 per person. We had 2 small glasses of wine and was charged £25. Ripped off and won't be returning for Christmas Day lunch again.

Christmas dinner was overall ok.. 2 hours for the 1st 2 courses was a very long wait with the dinner taking 4 hours overall. The 2nd sitting arriving were obviously frustrated with the delays and patron complaints to staff somewhat spoiled the dinner as we were sat near the bar and could not help but hear ongoing complaints. Although the initial courses were good and the deserts also, the main course was a disappointment as the celebration dish amd served luke warm. Veg seemed that had been standing for a while, roast potatoes over cooked, and limited sauces provided (1small pot of cranberry sauce between 6 and we had to request a 2nd jug of gravy). Overall a disappointment, service staff worked hard and tried to compensate (althpugj obviously u ser pressure to expedite turning the tables and service started pushing, including clearing plates whilst people at our table still eating) but as a customer that has eaten at the restaurant a few times, for the cost vs. quality and experience this feels over priced and very disappointing. Appreciate things can go wrong but the lack of communication and reduction on quality is not what is expected for the cost charged.
