It's the third time I've eaten there in the last 5 months and I love it everytime - the fresh, unique combination of flavors plus the amazing margarita make it a 'must go' restaurant. It might be simple but the salad and quesadilla are two of my favorites!

We are from Scottsdale and we took the trip down to Phoenix to taste this delicious food. As we are approaching the restaurant it was a little dark we got worried but once we tasted the food it did not disappoint . We had a cesar’s salad which is different with edible flowers. Plantains with frijoles was tasty. Bone marrow with green chorizo was phenomenal . There were layers of flavors. We found it enjoyable . We got the beef tacos with the french dip was great. We had dessert the goat ice cream was very creamy, my husband does not really like sweets but he loved this! If you are a foodie this will definitely wake up your senses. This is the classic hole in the wall. Definitely will be back for more! Since they are small they might need more servers when they are getting busier!!

Small menu and “out” of many things to begin a Saturday evening service (6pm). Ordered the “special” appetizer and were out of it so brought us something different without asking (took off bill). Lamb mole was really good. Other food was bland (salad, frites). Service was good.

The food was some of the best we’ve ever had anywhere: every dish was amazing with HUGE depth and layers of flavor.
Service was really good with a few hiccups: drinks took a long time to arrive; 1st thing that was ordered but didn’t arrive till we already had our second course. Also, our table was in a really weird place: very close (like, unusually close) to the patio doors, so a lot of traffic coming and going around us. Even our server commented she’d never seen the table so close to the doors. We asked to move to a different table we could see was available but they said they had other reservations for them. Well, we arrived with a reservation too, so why couldn’t they move us and put the next reservation at the weird table? The thing that bothered me is we only asked to move tables after we watched them move a different couple from a table on the patio to a table inside. Why do they get to move from an apparently perfectly fine patio table and we don’t get to move at all?
Lastly, we had noted on our Open Table reservation we were celebrating a birthday, but they didn’t acknowledge it until AFTER my wife had said something. Not looking for a freebie, but there are many choices in the Valley, a note of thanks for picking their restaurant to celebrate would be nice.
All in all, no question we will be back, but hopefully they read the notes on our next reservation to make sure we are seated far away from the patio doors!

Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Attentive service, food and beverage options thoughtfully explained, we were made to feel welcome and appreciated. Each dish we ordered was delicious (yucca frites, Caesar salad, Carne Apache, Aguachiles Verde, birria tacos, mole) with the favorites being Carne Apache, Aguachiles Verde and the birria tacos. We enjoyed some cocktails also. The featured cocktail was a white Negroni, very enjoyable. The menu is seasonal. Hoping to return soon to enjoy different dishes. Appreciate the excellent service and menu!

This restaurant is my happy place - rarely an establishment that has so quickly moved to the top of the restaurant scene is able to preserve its original soul. Chilte did and that soul is in the food, ambience, service, drinks, light, and sound. Everything is in perfect harmony. Food is impeccable - original and simple and sophisticated at the same time. Can’t get enough and never tired of the yucca frites. The same goes for the burger, tacos, quesadilla, and everything else (that I am yet to taste). A must experience either you have lived in Phoenix your entire life or visiting for a few days - put it on your bucket list.

The proportions were absurdly small on some of the “grande” dishes. I was served what was essentially the equivalent of a freezer taquito filled with bland meat and a medley of random greens on top that added no depth to the taste of the dish. The mole that came along with it was also bland and the taste didn’t compliment the rest of the dish at all. My partner’s birria tacos had flavorless consommé and salsa to compliment tacos that were bland and lifeless. The prices for both dishes were exorbitant in proportion with their lack of flavor. At least the drinks were decent.

Just not the value expected, although we had a very nice time, EXCELLENT service and cool ambience. 1/2 chicken Special seemed a little pricey- although we did share between 4 people.
Everything was well prepared and served super hot and fresh!

Quite possibly one of the few restaurants that’s made me audibly gasp at how delicious the food with each bite from every dish! Highly recommend!
