   We love this place! Great food, fresh, well prepared, nicely served. Good variety of choice. Professional friendly service. Quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

   Once we got over the fact Chez Olivier had *NOT* been notified of our booking by OpenTable, they happily accommodated us. We had to change tables because the aircon was very efficient (!), but apart from that slight change, everything else went well. The soups were sensational, especially the bisque homard (creamy, foamed lobster soup), steaks were perfect, hot and well-presented, so much so that we did not have room for dessert. The 2022 Château Cru Godart Côtes Francs from Burgogne was truly memorable (by the glass), as was the Billecart Champagne. Overall the service was attentive and prompt, with extremely pleasant wait staff who kept an eye out for anything we needed. However, my one criticism is OpenTable - why use the service when it doesn't get through to the restaurant, and sadly this isn't the first time this has happened to me. I received 2 notices to confirm my booking and that I would be attending. Great. But to arrive to a busy restaurant & find no booking could have easily ended badly, eating at Maccas instead. Do better, OpenTable. Next time, I'll call the restaurant myself. Not happy.

   Fantastic French cuisine, and the staff were friendly and attentive, would definitely go back next time we are in town.

   Based on previous experience, I took my partner there on Valentine's Day: I had high expectations-and was certainly not disappointed! Great service, wonderful food, great ambience-I will surely be back!!

   Booked a month ahead for Valentine's, rocked up and was forced to go with their Valentine's menu that had no prices on it. And no waitors attempted to explain the setup either. Severely understaffed. Took 10mins to get noticed after we were sat down. And 30+mins to get the bill. Food was delish, but nothing too special. Ended up being charged $129 each for a main, entree and dessert that had us wanting more. Disappointed overall

   Hidden French gem! Fantastic food and service -- it was a lovely night out. The duck breast was cooked to perfection and the steak tartare was the best I've had in Melbourne. We were all so satisfied that we simply couldn't fit dessert. We will definitely be back.

    Been eating here for years. Excellent food, nice staff, always,new faces. would really appreciate keeping more veg side dishes.Green beans are back and have carrot mash.But carrot mash only while addition to a special, so wont be there all the time. Some sort of permanent carrot side would be great. Dont eat potato or chips.
