Inspired by Executive Chef Gabbi Patrick’s Yucatecan roots, CHAAK features Mayan staples of pibil, recados, seafood, smoke, and exotic spices combined with her signature modern flare. The Yucatan peninsula's influence sets it apart, with Spanish, Caribbean, and Mediterranean influences, dense tropical climate, and deep Mayan culture roots.

    I went to Chaak for probably the 50th time in the last 5 years and cannot believe how it consistently hits. The food is some of the absolute best in Orange County. The atmosphere is always uplifting. And the service is top notch. Ryan was our server and is such a hard worker and lovely spirit. One of the top 3 restaurants in Orange County.

    I ordered 4 dishes while there and all of them were delicious!!! The duck tacos were top notch and the tacos shell is definitely unique. The chocolate mousse was so good I ate every bite and scraped the bowl.

    The Chayote was wonderful, followed by the Tamal and the Salbute Pato Ahumado which were so good. We really wanted the Enchilads too so we ordered them to go for the next day's lunch!

    Brunch at CHAAK was wonderful! The aesthetic & ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful and approachable. Service was excellent. Extensive liquor wine & cocktail offerings. Brunch menu offered a good variety. What we got... Drinks: Citrus Margarita, Pear & Rosemary Agua Fresca. Apps: Dip Trio, Ceviche. Entrée: Omelette de Papadzules, Huevos Motulenos. The food's presentation was beautiful, looked very appetizing. The flavor was robust! Though a touch salty. They don't skimp on portions. It is "elevated" Mexican cuisine... hence, the elevated pricing. Overall, an excellent experience. We'll definitely be coming back.

    This restaurant is worth the trip from Fullerton. The servers are friendly, and the food is excellent, especially when enjoyed with drinks. I don't quite remember the name of the dish, but the octopus dish and the one with chips for dipping were absolutely fantastic.

    We entertained some out of town guests and they loved it. The sauces/salsas were especially good. Our waiter was personable and helpful on quantities to order.
