From the people that brought you Trattoria Carina, Pub & Kitchen and The Diving Horse comes their newest restaurant, Carina Sorella.

Carina Sorella is a casual neighborhood Italian restaurant with a focus on delicious and approachable food in a bright, vibrant atmosphere. Our menu is built around classic dishes - Spaghetti and Meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmesan - but we surround that core of dishes with seasonal, chef driven specialties.

The Bryn Mawr location will include the addition of a pizza oven and a full bar, building on the smaller footprint of the existing location in Philadelphia, Trattoria Carina.

    My wife and self wanted to try this relatively new addition to the BRYN MAWR booming Italian restaurant scene. It was a largely, but not totally, positive dining experience. The atmosphere is modern, clean is overly noisy, at times. Tables are overly close together and when we arrived - early (515 PM) on a Saturday night we were seated next to a circular table of 6, several of whom were -in a word - loud !. It was quite disconcerting but on the other hand, their welcome departure about 30 minutes into our meal reduced the noise level to much more reasonable levels. The service was courteous, pleasant and with timely food arrival. Drinks were slow to arrive with a busy bar but of good quality especially a very solid whisky sour. The food was quite good , both in terms of quality and quantity, including a caesar salad, pizza (pepperoni) and the touted chicken parmesan, a most tasty and large portion, living up to its reputation as one of their top dishes. Prices were appropriate for the ordered item, not cheap but not excessive either. We found the menu a bit limited especially with regard to pasta selection. However, the rigatoni accompanying the chicken farm was tasty. Overall, after a noisy, shaky start, things settled down and we ultimately enjoyed the competent and pleasant service and fine tasting food. I do to know that we will push back, but will likely return at some point. A very decent addition to the Bryn Mawr Italian restaurant scene.

    We had the best time! The staff is always so friendly, the service was perfect and we had so much fun with the bartenders Marcel and Colleen.

    Carina Sorella was excellent, just like their sister restaurant, Trattoria Carina. I loved it!

    Holy moly! Prices were obscene! I’m sorry, we spend to eat out regularly and are not afraid to spend for finesse and quality. Average everyday Italian food is what is offered here. A plate of pasta at $29. Seriously? Rude bartenders and an obviously untrained service staff is what you can expect here and don’t even think about a bottle off the wine list where markups are equally obscene as the food. At 2/3 the price I may be more easy. Each time the door opened an ice cold draft ran through the room. This made the time spent here pretty unpleasant. Since we were seated only about 14 inches from the next table we did get to enjoy the couple next to ours first date. Good luck to them!

    Noise isn't as bad as many reviews make it out to be. There is a surprisingly large number of waitstaff but they are poorly trained, which is surprising as this restaurant has been open for some time now. Food is very average. Antipasti sampler is shockingly overpriced for what you get. Won't return.

    This was our first time a Corina Sorella. They are a relatively new restaurant. We had heard how great the chicken parm is and my fiancé is self proclaimed connoisseur of the parm! He was not disappointed. We were both pleased with our meals. Everything was hot, fresh and robust with flavor. Drinks, dessert and service were beyond. Highly recommend!

    We have eaten at Carina Sorella multiple times since it’s opened and it has not disappointed! 6 of us shared the Spicy pizza, burrata, tuna crudoand meatballs to start. The kitchen also brought us out complimentary arancini which were delicious! The apps were fabulous and generously portioned(we definitely ordered too much!). For dinner we had the osso buco, chicken parm, pork Milanese, cacio de Pepe and the spicy crab pasta. All fantastic!
