Located in the heart of the legendary Fairmont El San Juan Hotel, Caña is an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant featuring an elevated menu composed of fresh dishes made with local ingredients and exquisite seafood options. Featuring both tropical outdoor and indoor seating, Caña maintains the best traditions of the Island of Enchantment, old and new. We ate at La Caña on Thanksgiving for their price fixed buffet dinner ($89/person). The ambiance is great but the price is high for what you get. Food was solid but not terrific (prime rib didn’t offer any pieces that were medium or medium rare, no gravy for turkey, turkey extremely salty). Desserts and salad offering were very good but hard to get to $89 of value from sides. While the restaurant was not crowed since we ate early, service was slow — didn’t get water refills, drink orders not taken promptly, cleared plates after each trip through the buffet but silverware moved to sit directly on table once used (no table cloth or place mat) which felt unclean. It was nice to not cook or clean for Thanksgiving but for the price point there are other Puerto Rican restaurants that deliver more value in the premium restaurant category (e.g., Vianda, Mario Pagan, Luisa, etc) although, to be fair to La Caña, it might be hard to find one open and serving traditional Thanksgiving food on Thanksgiving Day.

Not worth for the money , Open table establish that the valet parking would be 15 dollars with a restaurant stamp , I went to oay they said it was 33.75 .. Went back to the restaurant and they said they where not authorized for that discount anymore .. Anuncio engañoso !!!!

The flavor was lacking in everything. The drinks were not strong. The waiter was very nice and sung happy birthday but on an empty night still didn’t find the time to check on our table much . Great presentation but mediocre in taste regarding food and drinks. Over priced for the value.

Beautiful outdoor dbing with ocean views Food was outstanding and our waitress excellent and knowledgable! Found was fresh and portions not so large! Also goat cheese fig apoetizer was amazing !
