Camden Spit & Larder, a modern London-inspired eatery, in Downtown Sacramento on Capitol Mall. Chef Oliver Ridgeway showcases the pristine ingredients of the surrounding region with its bold design, bustling bar scene, and prime private dining facilities. Camden is comfortable yet elevated. We are located just a few blocks from the Capitol and Convention Center and just steps from the Golden 1 Center. This is the perfect place to dine pre-show or concert. Camden S&L was a restaurant 'Recognized by Michelin' in 2021, 2022, & 2023.

The food and drinks were amazing!! It was interesting because we dined for NYE and the whole night my friends and I including my husband (party of 4) felt like we were being rushed out. We did have later reservations but it was the only option that worked for us on resy which was honestly fine. I understand the hours of operation but I also felt like there were other tables that weren’t being rushed out, and we were for some reason singled out? We weren’t rowdy or disrespectful by any means. I kept getting asked if I was done with my plate and then after the 5th time of being asked I just surrendered and said yes, even though I wanted to finish my amazing salmon entree. It was so good! We also ordered the delicious papas bravas that we got for the table, but unfortunately they were taken shortly after my plate was cleared! We barely ate half of It all happened so quickly, I wasn’t able to speak up and ask for a to-go box (even though it was never offered in the first place). I regret not saying something, but I guess I was just stunned and didn’t know what to think. We noticed the bar (this was shortly after closing) was still open and there were still patrons enjoying drinks and ordering, so once we settled our bill and decided to get a drink before we left. I asked for a round of champagne, but was not asked on preference. Later to realize once I got the bill, that the bartender (very polite and helpful by the way) ordered one of their expensive bottles. I ended up paying $120 for 4 glasses. Again, my fault for not speaking up but I guess I just didn’t realize at the time to ask. I don’t want crap champagne but I also wish the bartender asked our preference beforehand. Anyway…I would love to dine there again, maybe on a night that wasn’t one of their busier ones. The food was excellent and the service was overall good. I just didn’t appreciate feeling like we were being rushed out. I would much rather have had more transparency on their order of operation.

Started with the caviar service- definitely enough for 4 people so we shared with our neighbors. Excellent! We had the meat pie, an unexpected flavor bomb! The jus was a perfect accompaniment. Also had the salmon, good, not great, a little overcooked but well seasoned. Service was perfect, atmosphere was festive for the holidays. Definitely will keep this in our rotation.

We have been at least once a month and everything is always the great experience always . From Chris and Jeff guys who greet us as family to bartender and bartender manger and all the servers and of course Chef Oliver never fails to Amaze us. Lobster dish last night was so delicious. Sides of potatoes and another one of Brussels sprouts excellent. Will be back soon!

Sierra was incredible as our server. She knows the menu like the back of her hand and continuously helped us pick the lineup for our dinner. She made our anniversary something special. There aren’t a lot of people that generally make you feel at home while dining out and Sierra did that easily. We can’t wait to come back!

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. We dined here for my husband‘s birthday in November and loved it so we came back. Once again, on our second visit, everything was excellent. Service is outstanding, food is delicious, cocktails are creative and tasty. Five stars all around. We’re looking forward to going back early next year with friends. So far this is the only Michelin Guide restaurant in the Sacramento area that makes interesting vegan and vegetarian food that I would want to eat again and again. I am vegetarian. Contrary to popular belief, vegetarians don’t want to eat salads and bird food. We want creative, interesting appetizers and entrées that are healthy, delicious, well balanced, filling and beautifully presented using seasonal, local ingredients. Thank you, Chef Oliver Ridgeway!

Being listed as a Michelin recommended restaurant, service was disappointing. Food was very good but not overly so. "Hot roll" was cold and overcooked, both wine and dessert were spilled on presentation and wine served well after our second course was served. Perhaps my expectations were too high or it was an "off" night for staff but paying the prices charged for a special occasion dinner I was not overly impressed with the staff we encountered.

I have been here a couple of times recently (after a couple times 2 years ago) and I feel like Camden is trending towards getting some Michelin recognition. Its food has moved from reliably good to outstanding! The service is top notch as well. I would say it is among the top 5 restaurants in Sacramento.

We specifically selected the Camden Spit & Larder for our Christmas Eve brunch as we'd heard it was the ONLY place ANYWHERE for MILES where we could sample a Scotch Egg and, even though it wasn't on the 12/24 menu, the chef prepared an AMAZING Scotch Egg with a salmon crusted shell. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your gracious hospitality and GREAT food!!! We plan on coming back VERY SOON!!!! Cheers! Jeff Jones

God was amazing. For NY steak, get only medium done because the well-done was too dry. Otherwise, I’d be amazing. I took my family for my wife’s birthday, and we all loved it!
