Butera’s Restaurant of Bay Shore is the newest addition to the Butera Restaurant Group. Owners Gary Butera, Martin &Laurie Butera, Nick Zografos & David Novak have provided cool green & white panels, brick, subway tile, marble and original artwork. The decor adds a sleek industrial edge to compliment the tone in the casual, comfortable dining room & spacious bar. Garage doors bring the “outside” in to add to the open, airy industrial look.
The Butera’s kitchen, since it’s inception in Massapequa 1991 to present day Bay Shore , has and still does offer traditional rustic Italian cuisine with a modern flair alongside unique specials showcasing authentic ingredients and locally sourced products.
The Butera’s family relishes the opportunity to begin a new chapter in Bay Shore, and wants nothing more than to serve and delight the community for years to come.

Buteras makes you feel like family, the owner is present amd engaging and tge service is attentive and accommodating. Excellent food, great Thai Calamari, with many tasty options. Live music is wonderdul, thank you Jimmy!! We love it!!

We came here for dinner last night and the food was fantastic! We really appreciated the owner coming to introduce himself and we had asked what he recommended for dinner. He talked my fiancé into ordering the pork chop dish and it was incredible! Truly did not disappoint. I ordered the mix - steak,sausage and shrimp on top of risotto which was also fantastic. Definitely one of the best restaurants we’ve been to in Long Island. I would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Great experience as always! My favorite restaurant on Long Island. Salmon was great as well as grilled mix.

Our waitress was amazing!! The food was incredible! We ordered dishes that weren't on the menu and they accommodated us. This is by far my favorite restaurant!!

The food was fantastic and big portions. One of the owners stopped by our table to thank us, which was very nice. Very good place to eat.

It happened to be a holiday weekend (week before St Pats)- we didnt realize the town would be celebrating this weekend (our mistake). Therefore, it was PACKED and very loud. The staff was working hard! Kudos to each and every one of them!

I've been to two other Butera locations, both of which I liked better. The Bay Shore site has a warehouse-like atmosphere, which is different than the others. For me, it was much more casual and quite loud, though we were able to hold a conversation fairly comfortably. The food was mediocre and not as good as in the other locations. My eggplant dish was interesting, because it was not breaded. I actually liked that, but I know many would not. Also, the parking was frustrating. In the lot adjacent to the restaurant, the spots are numbered and there are meters at which to pay, but neither of them worked. I went to ask the host about it, and he said I needed to use the parking app, but that didn't work either. We took a chance, hoping we weren't going to get a ticket. Although we didn't, I don't care to get stressed before my dining experience. I would return to other Butera locations, but this one was disappointing for me and my group.
