    Food and ambience was fantastic. It was a little pricey, but I thought the service, food and surrounding was excellent. Can’t wait to go back! Staff was so welcoming, friendly, courteous and awesome!

    My partner and I visited for our shared birthday and had such a great time! Wally, our server, was so funny and so knowledgeable about all the dishes. The whole ambiance was outstanding. And then the FOOD! Absolutely fantastic. We are visiting from out of town and I'm so glad we landed on this spot, it was so incredible all around.

    Food quality was not there and sitting in a basement was a real turn off. You also had a guy working that had just started a few days prior and hadn’t eaten the food yet. Weird

    We loved everything about the experience at Butcher and the Bear. Is server was friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. The food was delicious and came out on time cooked perfectly. The ambience was nice. It wasn’t too crowded. It wasn’t too loud, but everybody seems to be enjoying themselves.

    We love Butcher and the Bear. The restaurant itself is cozy with a great vibe. They have a nice bar upfront and a couple of levels of seating. We were seated on the lower level which is sort of like dining in a wine cellar. The food is great. We enjoyed oysters, meatballs, pasta, fish and steak. Everything was incredible and we finished our evening with some incredible gelato. We will certainly return!

    The service completely ruined our birthday dinner. Our server was disengaged the entire time—never checked in, didn’t ask if we wanted another cocktail, and dropped off the check without seeing if we needed anything else. When he returned with my card, he didn’t even say thank you or good night. His lack of effort and attention really put a damper on what was supposed to be a special celebration. It’s disappointing because everything else was fantastic. The hostess welcomed us warmly, and the food was absolutely amazing. If the service had matched the quality of the food and atmosphere, this would have been a perfect night. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed what should have been a memorable birthday dinner.

    You seem to be rushed The waiter was not happy I brought my own wine and paid the corkage fee they intentionally give you the smaller wine glasses They don not understand that if you bring a wine bottle it is usually from a collector My wine was from my cellar from the 1990’s They should be honored that you have selected such a fine wine to eat their food
