   Lovely food and better than expected from a 'hotel' restaurant. Hoisin mushrooms were are a real surprise and a definite win. We weren't there for the 'Valentine's Meal' but we got the petals and chocolates anyway which was nice. We would to back. It was a bit cold at first but we mentioned it and things warmed up quickly. Enjoyable experience overall and handy for a pre-cinema meal.

   The food was outstanding, and the chefs were circulating with customers. They shared how dishes were made and/or the ingredients. Service was also excellent; attentive but not bothersome. Good energy in the staff. The physical space could use some badly needed updating as everything was showing wear. Definitely a nice place to enjoy a meal.

   The servers were friendly and catered to our needs, and the food was delicious. A nice way to spend Thanksgiving!

   We had a great experience. The wait person, Yuko, could not have been better, really lovely, as was the chef. Yuko had carefully chosen which table to lay up for us as we had elderly people in the group and asked for quiet if possible. The food was excellent and the one shortcoming was dealt with swiftly and courteously. It felt a little strange coming through the hotel to the restaurant but it was a great success for our party and we'd definitely come again.

   Steak was extremely salty and the pesto far too hot Dumplings were like eating cardboard Everything else was fine Service was great

   The restaurant is open on one side to the reception area, on arrival we were told they were very busy and no tables for two, sat in middle on table for 4, despite having made reservation, and there being plenty of spare tables. Waited 15 mins before anyone asked us if we'd like a drink. We ordered drinks and starters together. The starters arrrived before the drinks. We asked where our drinks were, they then brought us the wrong drinks and so we'd half eaten our starters before our wine arrived. No wine glasses were brought, but 'luckily' we were on a table for 4 so we used the spare. Then waited 40 mins for meal. Worst steak I've ever had, fatty and gristly, over cooked. Sent it back. We'd not been given a steak knife or new cutlery. Luckily we were on a table for 4 so we used the spare, again we used the spare from the table and my husband struggled with the knife on the tough steak. Second worst steak ever arrived. Still over cooked, fatty and gristly. The side order of veg was now cold. But we were then given steak knives. Starters were pretty decent. The waitresses apologetic, but they didn't see what needed to be done. It was chaotic. When we finished our meal, all tables for two still empty. In fact the restaurant was hardly busy at all. Service charge on the bottle of wine was on the bill! That would be the bottle of wine we waited 25 mins for. We refused to pay the service charge and questioned the bill, as the main course has been so bad. The waitress was apologetic but didn't seem to know what to do. We paid the bill and went straight to hotel reception. Reception staff were helpful and refunded us half the food off our stay.

   Lovely waiter who was very attentive. Food service was excellent, no long waiting times. Food was good quality and portion sizes were more than enough. I couldn’t eat all my mains. Fish and chips is really impressive, a very big piece of fish and generous with the chips. Choice of sauces available to accompany your meal. Lovely meal would recommend this restaurant.

   Lovely relaxed setting with attentive service. We booked a table at 6pm as we had a show booked at 730pm and the menu online showed Sea Bass. When we arrived the menu did not include this and we were advised that it was a seasonal menu but still appeared online. The menu was very meaty with limited fish dishes. We were restricted by time so had one fish starter and some chips which was very nice but not what we had planned.

   Lovely food. Lovely environment with live piano music. Was able to have a conversation without having to shout to be heard and not to hear other peoples conversations. Staff were very attentive to us although they were very busy. Not enough staff to cover volume of customers.

    Spoilt for choice. We three chose different options for all three courses. Every one was excellent. Service staff very efficient and helpful.
