Paying homage to traditional French cuisine in a lively and welcoming environment, Brasserie la Banque celebrates life's memorable moments from impromptu drinks to convivial gatherings and leisurely meals. Led by owner and industry veteran Steve Palmer of Indigo Road Hospitality Group, the restaurant is a culmination of Palmer's work and his passion for the classic French brasserie and its cuisine. The menu features a selection of traditional French dishes alongside more innovative fare. Aptly named for its previous role as a city bank, Brasserie la Banque is located within the iconic 1 Broad Street corner building that dates back to the 1700s.

The food was amazing and the chef was very engaging . The bar service was way down par. Not only I thought that but others sitting near us did as well . I love this restaurant but for it to be so empty on a Sunday during a holiday weekend would be concerning to me

The service was extremely slow. The staff was polite but we had to ask for every small thing and then wait a remarkably long time. Our coffees were no longer hot by the time our brunch was served. Our eggs Benedict (we asked for croissant rather than bread) was good. The quiche was terrible. The Croque Madam was mostly bread. The sticky bun was good. So hit or miss in a lovely location. We will not be back.

The service was outstanding, and most of the food was as well. The pastries were extraordinary! My Eggs Benedict poached eggs were cold, probably because many at our table had items that had to be grilled, so wish that they would have waited to poach the eggs. Will definitely be back though!

This, quite simply, an awesome restaurant. I can't say enough about the excellent food, or tremendous staff. A true Charleston gem.

We had a lovely experience for our anniversary dinner here. Staff were friendly and accommodating. They had a cute sign on our table with happy anniversary on it. Overall, the food was very good. We enjoyed our apps and our dinner selections. We got the apple tarte tatin for dessert, and were disappointed. It was served ice cold, the apples weren’t caramelized, and the crust was hard. The waitress was apologetic, but said that is how they serve it there. They did take it off the bill, even though we asked them not too, as we were going to bring it home and put it in the oven. Overall, a nice evening. We will likely return.

Our server, Morgan, was first rate. Just the right balance of attentiveness mixed with professionalism! Definitely will be back. Cassandra from pastries was truly a special experience. She gifted us with some appetizer samples and carefully explained the ingredients. She was truly the gift. Thank you Morgan & Cassandra!❤️ The entire night reminded us of Le Grand Colbert. Awesome!
