Two new high style projects in a historic Nomad hotel:

THE TUSK BAR is a cocktail and oyster bar with its next door restaurant sibling BRASS offering an elegant yet playful menu from Michelin-starred chefs Jeremiah Stone and Fabián von Hauske Valtierra (Wildair, Bar Contra).

Join us at The Tusk Bar (named a best bar in America by Esquire) for carefully made cocktails and seafood small plates; or at BRASS for a brasserie-inspired dinner reimagined for a new golden era of dining out in New York City.

Both spaces are located through the lobby of the turn–of-the-century Evelyn hotel (est. 1903) and welcome walk-ins as well as accepting reservations.

    I had made a reservation for the bar area for 6 people. upon arrival got put in the dining room which we’re going for drinks. they gave us a small section in the bar with not enough chairs and other table was practically into ours and the server didn’t come around much

    Best meal I think I’ve ever had! Worth every penny. We wanted really good food and really good atmosphere and we got everything we wanted. And the piano player was the cherry on top!

    The place is so beautiful and food and service was excelent, but the host made us wait for a table for more than 1 hour, even we have booked it.

    The food at Brass was delicious and the sommelier, Brady, was fabulous. We especially enjoyed the Couronne De Gougeres, the Ricotta Gnudi, and the Pork Shoulder a la Moutarde. Brady, the sommelier, really added to the evening. He timed the pours so that we finished the bottle with the meal. At the end of the evening he gave us a delicious amaro-based digestif.

    Beautiful ambience; excellent service; wonderful night. Only knock was an “entree” that was literally a single scallop.

    Great food and drinks, and couldn’t do enough for us when planning my wife’s birthday drinks here. Will definitely be back.

    The chickpea fritters were uninteresting and bland. The tuna/caviar tartar was absolutely not fresh enough and at that price and portion, you’d expect the freshest raw fish available in NYC. Me and my boyfriend actually had a stomachache right after… The cocktails were ok, but nothing out of this world. For 2 drinks and 2 appetizers at over $100, we were expecting much much more. The Portrait Bar nearby is beyond outstanding compared to this place.
