Featuring plant based ingredients, elevated cooking techniques, a creative beverage list and a colorful ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. Blossom & Root is the Tri-Valley dining destination for anyone curious about - or naturally inclined towards contemporary vegan fare with an "Eat Local" emphasis. Private dining is available. The pretty space is full of blue patterns and hues, with lots of plants (decorative and possibly edible). Featuring just as creative of a bar program as menu. Steven Diehl has elevated the bar program to match our eclectic menu by Chef Chris Johnson. Together the team puts out beautiful food and beverages not to be missed.

    My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner. We are long-time vegans and it's wonderful to know there is an excellent vegan restaurant within an hour's drive. In addition to great food, the service was professional, friendly and attentive. The wine list is thoughtfully curated. And... vegan chocolate dessert was delicious.

    I'm vegan - my partner is not. When we eat at Blossom and Root - he doesn't miss the meat. The food is real - not processed. It's creative with lots of flavor and textures. I love that there is such a wonderful vegan restaurant in Contra Costa county. Can't wait to go back.

    Very quiet night for the restaurant, but it did pick up a little later. The dishes are so creative as are their cocktails. The service was great. Nice to have in the neighborhood

    Great Vegan food so happy to have this option. Service was excellent and server was very helpful in selecting the best dishes for us we really enjoyed the brussels sprouts, the crab cakes and the falt bread with "cheese" and fig spread. We also enjoyed 2 of their fruit and spice sodas and the pear tart and s'mores mousse. So glad to have an upscale Vegan restaurant close by. THe entire restuarant is well decorated, airy and very clean. Thank you

    Due to a loved one’s illness, our diet has changed from a heavily carnivore based diet to more vegetable/and leafy greens diet. This was our second time at Blossom and Root, bringing friends to experience their menu just this week alone. The staff is awesome, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The menu is very creative, and healthy. I would have never believed there could be such great tastes, and creative dressings, like the vegan blue cheese salad dressing on their maitake “steak” salad. They take vegan to a whole new level. It’s my new favorite place to eat.

    Creative food, beautifully prepared and truly delicious. I wish I’d taken pictures because everything was stunning! Note- I am not a vegetarian but I will definitely go back! Also, the interior is beautiful.

    I had eaten at B&R before and enjoyed it. This time the mushroom soup tasted only of vinegar. Soup was replaced with cauliflower soup. Marginally better, but still vinegar-y. The Caesar salad had brown pieces of lettuce throughout.
