    Amazing food, great portions. Atmosphere is good, notbing exceptional. Service was very attentive but we waited for entrees 50 minutes

    Food was disappointing. Duck meat was tough, under-cooked, and swimming in too much sauce. Braised lamb had too much meat and pita bread, not enough vegetables. Beet salad had too much pepper or some kind of hot spice on it.

    Great food and service. A real gem of a place in Provo and the chef seems to be on point both with flavors and presentation

    The service at The Block was great as usual. However, I wasn't impressed with where they positioned our table. We were too close to a door and when it's below freezing outside, getting a cold burst of air each time the door opens is never welcome. They released their Winter menu and we started with the Block Toast, and it was fantastic. It was a grilled sourdough with a skillet baked cheese, onion based marmalade, and prosciutto. I would order that again. The Pear salad and Block Wedge salad were good but beware the Block Wedge is a little spicy. I would have enjoyed a little less spice and more blue cheese flavors. For the entrees, we had the Gnocchi and the Duck. The Gnocchi dish was like a warm hug. For those that have grown up from the south you will love this dish with a generous portion of braised short rib. The Duck wasn't as good as I had hoped. The duck was too chewy making it a little difficult to eat, but the flavor was good when combined with the pear. In summary a good high end restaurant, but know it comes with a higher price.

    Food, service and ambience are very good. The wine list is disappointing. I know there aren't a lot of drinkers in Orem, but for those of us that do, a good wine selection is an important part of the dining experience. Check out the wines by the glass at The Communal. If they can do it, so can you.

    I love Block! There aren't too many good places to find an amazing meal coupled with a comprehensive alcoholic beverage menu in Utah County. This has brought my wife and friends back again and again.

    We have yet to have a bad meal at Block. It’s one of Utah County’s best. It’s pricy but worth it.

    Before I start, I want to say that The Block was my favorite restaurant in Utah. I mean no disrespect by this review. I am really upset that it is not anymore. The Block has been a place where we go to celebrate the BIG things like anniversaries, birthdays, college graduations, etc. We have always thought The Block as such a treat! Last night, we went there as a post 25th anniversary dinner celebration. We ordered our charcuterie board. We giggled about how good it is. This one wasn't. There was a salami on there that tasted as if it went bad or spoiled. The honeycomb and honey really had no honey. It was just waxy. As my drink arrived, I had ordered a sugar rim on it. It has a salt rim. It was, as my kids said when they were little, "so yucky." I sent it back (which I usually do not do) and it reappeared. It was explained to me that a raw sugar is used so it won't be sweet. (I was a bit surprised by this so I looked it up when I got home but could not find this explanation.) Then the main entree arrived with the add on sourdough bread. The bread was burnt black. The entree was one we had ordered many times. It's sauce (broth) was unflavored and bland. The one thing that was really SUPERB and totally "The Block" was our server was Jane. She was incredibly patient and kind. A FIVE star server. Sadly, we won't be back. Our bill was over $100 for burnt food, spoiled tastes, etc.

    Service and drinks were great! Lasagna was not that appetizing, it was very dry. Overall we had a good experience but food was not worth what we paid for it. We will go back and try the nachos that are offered on the bar side of the restaurant.
