Time counts at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse. Since our humble beginnings back in 1978, we've continued to refine our brewhouse experience to make BJ's a place where you can make the most of any meal. We want BJ's to be a place where the moment you leave is the moment you plan on coming back. We pride ourselves in our craft and attention to detail. Our guests come here for our award-winning handcrafted beer. They come here for the Southern California twist we've put on the Chicago-style deep dish pizza. We had a reservation, but were seated 30 minutes later. Our booth had a light above it that was almost blinding. Right as our server was about to ask for our order, he was replaced by another person. The rest of the night, everything was slow. We asked multiple times for a knife before we received it. When I asked for more water, the server took my glass and disappeared. 10 minutes later, he walked by and I asked him if I could have my water. After bringing my water, he said our food was ready. But it was more than five minutes later before we received it and it was barely warm. It was overall a very disappointing experience on Valentine’s Day.

If I could give stars, I would. This is not a dig at the server because I feel like he was overworked/overwhelmed, this is more of a management and overall restaurant issue. We had reservations for a certain time and still waited 20 minutes to be seated, no worries, I get it, things get busy. Then we had to wait even longer to have the waiter come by. We waited so long by the time the waiter came to us, we knew what we were going to get. Like I said, the waiter was nice and I think he was doing the best he can, but he looked overwhelmed. One of my friends ordered a drink that did not come out until the food came (everyone else had their drinks) and the waiter kept saying he would bring her drink. Also, not a great big deal but still everything was adding up. We received our food which was all appetizers to be shared, which we said we would be sharing. We had no plates, so I asked another waiter who had dropped off the food for some plates. I also asked for extra salsa because our nachos barely had any. Never saw that waiter again and never received our plates or salsa. By this time we were so hungry we could not wait. We had to use the napkins and table as our "plate." The nachos were cold, the cheese was so hard and stuck together that it was almost impossible to pick up a chip without taking the whole pile. Lastly, we ordered pizookies and ordered a strawberry shortcake. When it arrived it had no toppings and no strawberries. We questioned where are the strawberries and toppings. The waiter said they forgot to add it and will bring it. Some time passed as we were still waiting for the toppings. We asked AGAIN where are the strawberries and the waiter said they were supposed to bring it out. Eventually our waiter brought it and it was one strawberry with whip cream. Nothing like the photo. I have been coming to BJ's for years and the service and quality have really declined, unfortunately. It is not worth the high prices and horrible service.

I’m only giving this a three star because of Jimmy, the manager. We sat at our table over 15 minutes with no one coming to check on us. I did ask for help but was ignored. Jimmy walked by and when I asked him about getting service, he immediately stepped up and took our order and took care of us for the rest of the night. The rest of the staff was not interested to help and ironically our table was in clear view for everyone walking by. I had to repeatedly asked for service and each time nothing. I did not want to eat here and this affirms my reason. Jimmy, good job but get a better staff or retrain the ones you have. Service is lacking in every sense of the word!! As for the food, it came out quickly and was fine but the drinks are overly sweet. The fried chicken and wings were cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Again, the service dampened the mood and meal!

If I could 0 stars I would. Waited for over half an hour and discovered that the server never put orders in after taking them. The manager tried to make it right, but my kids were exhausted after spending 2+ hours at the restaurant.

My husband and I made reservations for 6:30pm. We only had a 5 minute wait. We were brought waters immediately after ordering drinks. Our food came after we finished our drinks. My husband ordered the BJ’s Favorite Pan Pizza and I ordered the Jambalaya. We sampled each other’s food and agreed both were tasty and flavorful! My Jambalaya had a kick of spice to it, but not too spicy which I love. The pizza was perfect, my husband requested light cheese, so there was a smooth buttery cheese taste to the pizza. After our main course we ordered the Strawberry Shortcake Pizookie. By this time the restaurant was full so service changed and it took quite some time to receive the tasty dessert. I would ask for extra strawberries before ordering because we only received 3 half strawberries. I would also request a spoon first off because it’s hard to eat ice cream with a fork. Overall we were happy with our food and server and cannot wait to return.
