This is our go-to restaurant and we dine here multiple times a month. This was my second time this week. Our party had a reservation at 6:45. We arrived at 6:42pm and were told to wait at the bar (no seats) as the table before us hadn’t left. The hostess was lacking in all aspects —— there was a party of 2 seated at a table for 6/8 and an empty table of two. We watched another party (also of 3 people ) get immediately seated in the dining room after we had been waiting for over 15 minutes. We asked the hostess if we could pull a third chair up to the table of 2 and we were told no. The hostess (again lacking in problem solving and customer service skills) was unable to seat us but kept taking other parties and seating them. When we inquired about this, she said that our reservation was for the high top area— however, after waiting for 30 minutes past our reservation, we would have been happy anywhere. Our server, once we were seated, was gracious, professional, acknowledged as we have come to expect and comped one of our desserts. The issue seems to be with solely with the hostess.

We have been many times and yet have never had the wild boar Bolognese. It has been on the menu since the beginning so I don’t know how we keep missing it. Anyway, it was delicious as was the grilled calamari which used to be on the regular menu, but now frequently appears as a special. The Somalia helped us pair an excellent wine with our main course and the service was friendly and prompt as always. Birroteca is one of our favorites.

Fantastic experience, great food. We especially loved the confit duck quarters with the duck fat potatoes. Absolutely delicious.

Place was slammed and our service was still very good and the food was quick and extremely good. Drinks were top notch as well!

Food was excellent! Our waitress was impatient and got frustrated that we took some time to order. She shared she had other tables and couldn’t wait for us. She didn’t come back to ask if we needed more water. We ordered multiple apps, multiple drinks, multiple entrees and desserts. We were out celebrating a birthday. She was just disappointing. We still gave her a 20% tip.

Dining room downstairs is homey and uncrowded, Service is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Food is reliably delicious. Patio area in mild weather is comfortable and welcome.
