That’s why our menu is much more than a traditional steakhouse: terrific cuts, of course, complimented by locally caught seafood, sides fresh from the farmers market, and award-winning wine from across the globe. Valet parking is available, free for the first two hours with validation. Street parking is also available without a permit after 5pm daily and on the weekends.

My only issue is with Open Table. At no point in my reservation process was it mentioned that I was reserving a $100/person buffet. I thought I was reserving regular menu. Two teenage girls and myself couldn’t possibly eat $100 worth of food. Food great. Service great. Atmosphere great. But over $400 for four of us not ok when no heads up.

Thanksgiving Buffet for 2-$218 with only 1 cocktail plus $16 for the mandatory valet . Then you need to add tips. The food was mediocre and you had to serve yourself. Way over priced. The hotel is beautiful.

Exceptional food and setting. Good service except for lack of soap and towels in restroom probably because Thanksgiving Day was “slammed.” Harsh lighting close overhead was dimmed several times at our request, but it was on a timer so we had to ask them to dim repeatedly.

Delicious Thanksgiving Brunch! Strega Nonna cocktail was delicious, too. We are glad we chose Birch & Bloom for this day and look forward to coming back to try their regular menu. We had not been here before because their reputation is as a steak house and we do not eat red meet; but apparently they have some items on their menu that are not red meat. We'll be back!

When I booked this reservation, it said the Thanksgiving buffet was $45 per person; and we were charged $85 per person today. We were a part of 7 so that added up quickly as did the gratuity. You should have been more transparent. Food was excellent.

I found the food to have a excellent taste and a special flavor to it. the turkey and ham was so good that it only took a single stroke of the knife to cut it. And, the taste and eating was special. Very nice set up. The water was sparking and that was hit the spot.

Have dined here 5 or 6 times since they opened. Glad to see a new menu. Does the food match the pricing and aura of the restaurant? No. We go there and to their Sports Bar because we live on the west side of town. Our recent experience was mixed. The primary issue is that we were rushed through the service - the opposite experience of previous visits. Positives: the Parker House rolls, which I did not expect to be good; the salad, homemade ricotta and the crab cake. Four of us dined and so we had a variety of dishes. We were charged for an item we never received and also I think overcharged for wine that we ordered by the glass and for quite small pours. It seemed tacky to question the wine after informing out waiter that we were charged for a dish that never was served. The carrot cake was delicious. The problem is that the hotel and restaurant caters to the business school world with expense accounts. If they want to attract local people they need to do a lot better.

Exceptional. Elevated to the best of steakhouses in Charlottesville. It can be a little loud, but the hotel is gorgeous.
