Bayberry Hollow’s journey began in 2011 whilst strolling through the picturesque village of Tanfield. We fell in love with, what was, the village pub; The Pack Horse.

Here at Bayberry Hollow our ethos is simple... Great tasting home made dishes in a relaxed dining environment with welcoming service.

Our food menu is not huge, but there will be something on there that everyone will love.

Please note serving times for food:

Breakfast: Sunday-Friday 10am-11:30am & Saturday 9am-11am

Lunch Sunday- Friday 12pm- 3:30pm & Saturday 11:30am-4pm

We still serve our Coffee, Scone & Cake menu but on a walk in basis only. No reservations for this, you will be charged for this.

All of our team are from the local surrounding area and we all pride ourselves in making each of our customers welcome and appreciated. Our newly refurbished bistro provides the perfect destination for you to relax with friends and family, we are looking forward to welcoming you in store soon!

We can provide a full gluten free afternoon tea Along with your food you can enjoy an unlimited supply of our double gold star Taste Award coffee and fine English tea, please note there is an extra charge for speciality tea or coffee.     The place was very busy but that did not detract from the fantastic service. The happiest, kindest friendliest servers I’ve ever came across . These ladies are amazing and attentive to everyone . The food ( corned beef pie , veg and chips) was beautiful, hot and tasty and the portions were ample. The coffee was hot!! So lovely to not be served lukewarm coffee. I can’t believe I haven’t been here before but will certainly be back.. only downside parking .

    Visited today forfestive afternoon tea. The food was outstanding- and great value for money (we were very full and took a lot of things home!) The staff were very friendly and we felt very well looked after. 5* experience - many thanks!

    This was our first time for lunch but it didn’t disappoint. Excellent food, plenty of different dishes to choose from, not your traditional Sunday lunch which was refreshing. The staff are wonderful so good with my 90 year old mum so much so she asked for us to book afternoon tea for her birthday. The shop is a delight, difficult to resist. Would definitely recommend a visit.

    First visit for breakfast and will definitely be back to sample more of your menu. We went for the husband’s birthday and his breakfast came with a candle and the waitress singing happy birthday. What a lovely gesture.

    Beautiful cafe, lovely attentive staff and really nice food. Gorgeous shop attached too. Was a tad cool in the cafe so wrap up warm if it’s a cold day.
