   Ate at the bar which was fun for watching the pizza making and the operation of the wood fired oven. Pasta and salad were great as was the tiramisu dessert. Server was friendly. Overall great.

   Bavaro’s is always consistently good. My husband and I eat here at lease 2 times a month and we have never had a bad meal. Pizza is excellent. We have had several different types and all are good just like the pasta. You should give it a try, you want regret your decision. Donna Hogan

   We had a Friday night reservation at Bavaro's in Tampa. The restaurant has a handful of outdoor tables and a tightly packed indoor seating area. We sat inside, but next time, I’d likely book an outdoor table since the indoor space can get quite loud. Our server, AJ, was attentive and efficient. He quickly took our drink orders, and the entrees arrived promptly. We started with the ricotta meatballs, which were good but not particularly memorable. For my main dish, I had the Tagliatelle al Limone, a shrimp and pasta dish in a lemon sauce. It was decent, but again, nothing exceptional. Bavaro’s is best known for its Neapolitan-style pizza, and I might give that a try next time. The pricing averaged just over $40 per person, including drinks, tax, and tip—not outrageous for a tourist area in downtown Tampa. Reservations can be made online, and I’d recommend specifying an outdoor table if the weather is nice. The outdoor seating is directly along the sidewalk with no covering or separation from foot traffic, so keep that in mind. Overall, Bavaro’s is a solid choice, but I’d suggest going during an off-peak time, like a weeknight, if you want a more relaxed dining experience.

   Everything was amazing. I got the ravioli w/vodka sauce and it was the best sauce I’ve ever had. 10/10 recommend

   We dined in for Wine Wednesday, had a wonderful Chianti and enjoyed some pasta. Great service as usual, we always enjoy visiting!

   My pasta & meatballs were delicious. My partner had a salad that was so large he couldn’t finish it. Attentive service. Would highly recommend.

   We’re trying to find restaurants that are within walking distance of the Straz, and this was a great location. We liked that we could make a reservation, and were seated indoors promptly, even though we were a few minutes early. The dining room is small and fairly busy on a Sunday early dinner hour … it was very noisy, and we found it very difficult to have a conversation. Server was fine, but not overly friendly. Hubby and I decided to split a pizza, along with each ordering a half salad. The salads were good, but pricey for what they included. The pizza was just ok … the crust is very thin and soft, the toppings were good, but unlike the chain pizzas we’re used to, had a very minimal amount of cheese that didn’t begin to cover the crust. (Perhaps this is what Italian pizza is supposed to be?) While the menu claimed it was baked in a 900 degree oven, it came to the table just barely above warm. (It came out very fast … certainly didn’t spend long in that oven!). We both agreed that if we were to return, we’d order something other than pizza … the menu is limited, but there were some entrees that sounded good.

   Lisa, we appreciate the honest feedback and we are glad you are still interested in coming back to try other items. Our pizza is Neapolitan style pizza, it is very different form traditional chain pizza that you're use to. It is meant to have a soft delicate center and the crust a slight char, best enjoyed with a fork and knife. We would love to have you back in to try some of our fresh pasta!

   We have loved this place since it opened. Unlike other restaurants where the food quality seems to fade in time, Bavaro’s has remained great with top quality dishes. I do wish they would offer another draft beer. Peroni just doesn’t cut it. Bring back another IPA!

   A 9oz pour of wine is $18. The pasta dish was $22. Seems crazy to charge so much for a glass of wine. Waiter was good, I enjoyed my dinner too. The restaurant is very small and crowded.

    We had the lemonciello pizza, Caesar salad, and penne alla vodka which were all amazing. We will 100% be going back there.
