Bardea, pronounced: bar-DAY-ah, is the Italian term for "the goddess of food and drink." The stunning, 120-seat restaurant utilizes ingredients from local Delaware Valley farms and purveyors, and features modern interpretations of traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes. In 2019, Bardea Food & Drink received a semifinalist nomination in the James Beard Foundation's "Best New Restaurant" category.

    Everything was delicious and the menu descriptions were spot on. My husband and I are from Philly and have been pretty spoiled when it comes to good food an amazing restaurants. With that said, we would travel back to this restaurant from home. Great food and great service! Thanks for the experience.

    With some very fine restaurants just down the block, the only thing that Bardea offers to match them is the price point. The pasta I ordered (a duck confit agnolotti) is far superior at other places. This is true of both the vegetable dishes I had as well. The $17 sweet potato dish was tasty, but the plate showed up with half a small sweet potato on it--which, well, kind of soured me on the the dish. With Quoin and La Fia now offering memorable meals, a good value, and great service, Bardea only offers the latter. The food is fine, but not in the sense of fine dining. And there are other great options to be had nearby.

    Slowest service in Wilmington. Food tepid and overcooked (cauliflower soft, osso bucco dry and stringy. Sweet potato, mushrooms and ribs were fine. We were disappointed.

    The gnocchi app is my favorite always but the new boa buns were excellent! Great addition to the menu. Pasta dishes were delicious but my 17 year old son’s portion was extremely tiny. Two amazing desserts! This is my favorite restaurant in Wilmington. It never disappoints.

    we had an amazing night celebrating my boyfriend’s 23rd birthday! it was our first time here but we felt like we dined in before. i believe our servers name was Jacob. he was super attentive, guiding us through the menu perfectly. from our drinks, starters, entree, and dessert we were 100% satisfied. though it felt like we ordered a lot of food, we ate almost everything. we weren’t overstuffed, it was the perfect amount of portions. hoping to come in again!

    I took my wife to Bardea F&D for her 45th birthday and it was an incredible experience. From the moment we walk thru the door and was greeted we knew this place was going to be good. Once we were seated our waiter came and and introduced himself, explained the menu and took our drinks orders. The order in which the food came out was perfect and exactly how it should have been, giving us a chance to enjoy the plates as they came out. The ambience was good, the seating was good and the vibe added to the experience. The food, very creative, smart and tasty. The menu seem very well thought out. Parking was good, we got lucky and found a spot close to the restaurant but parking seem plentiful and close by. Overall a damn good experience, great service and my wife loved it. I would highly recommend Bardea F&D. Will definitely be returning to enjoy some their other unique dishes.
