The food is simply amazing. Everything on the menu is delicious; however, every time I come here, the service is horrible. The waiters will ignore you and not check in on you.

Other than the coffee cup with the chip, this experience greatly exceeded expectations. The Benedict in particular was out of this world

Perfect ! No televison so it is wonderdul ! The noise is just People who speak together ! The waiter doesn't Come each minute to know if everything is ok. He was very attentive without disturbing us so we appreciated it ! Food was excellent, spread hummus/tzatziki/Red peppers are very good. Lamb, beef pot pie, greek meatballs and moussaka are very tasted and perfectly cooked. Cocktails were perfect too. Nice place to est for couple, family or with friends !

Our New Year's Eve dinner was enjoyable, with one caveat. Holiday dining is always tricky but the zucchini fritters, the vegetable briam and the rice pilaf were all quite good, while the seared walleye was excellent. The only weak hit were the Gundagai lamb chops. Our waitress told us they were equivalent to Wagyu beef in tenderness. Not so. And though I asked for medium rare what I got was medium well. As I am a lamb fancier from way back, it was quite disappointing.

This was our 2nd visit to Avli and the food was excellent, and the restaurant was busy as it was New Year’s Eve. We liked all of our selections, however we were very cold in the restaurant, it felt like cold air was blowing down form the ceiling, some diners including my wife had there coats draped over their shoulders, my feet were freezing, I ask the waiter to turn up the heat to no avail. I noticed that the thermostat in the hallway to the bathroom was showing 65 or 68 degrees and this was interior hallway and the dinning room had a wall of windows. This was the only thing that marred a great experience!

Avli always delivers, although very crowded, thus servers were busy and rushed. Appetizers are the stars here, delicious choices.

We had reservations for nine to celebrate our family Christmas, and we were seated earlier than our reservation time. Our waiter was very helpful with our orders, making suggestions when asked and double-checking once we decided. The food and drinks arrived quickly, but we had time to enjoy our wonderful starters. The entrees were delicious. Our waiter checked on us regularly. We had a terrific meal and a great time.

This is not a restaurant i recommend for anyone w ADA issues. 2 flights of slippery/greasy stairs to get to our table, and despite asking for the upper level we were told we wouldn’t get to eat for 90 minutes if we didn’t risk safety and go to the basement. Worse part is the stair handle is unusable due to christmas decorations, i cant imagine any ADA group would approve of using the railing for decorations. Once in the basement, service was great, food was good, not spectacular or anything… oakland gyros w a fancy atmosphere, but everything was good. Really could have used something besides rice in the stuffed vegetables. Best bite was the chicken souvlaki and the Savion blanc. We would return, but not with my parents as they really struggled w the stairs. Worse part was as we exited upstairs was 80% empty, seems if the hostess or anyone had really made the effort, they could have accommodated us and not made the elders risk there health on the stairs.
