   This was a most disappointing experience of afternoon tea! The table was in the middle of the busy restaurant, which is a nice location but we would have been better off just getting a sandwich. Ordinary white cups/plates & no sense of occasion. Food was fine but overly expensive, scones were lovely, two servings of tea and we paid extra £6 each for a glass of prosecco. The manager was helpful but was so busy due to the lunch crowd. It was such a let down and as it was a birthday gift, it was all the more disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this experience at the price of £78.00 which was way too expensive for what we were served. A lovely venue, no ambience & a less than satisfactory food experience. Not good value at all!!

   The food was very good but the bill was very wrong - twice. We chose the Spring set menu which was very good value at £27 for two courses plus a glass of prosecco or elderflower fizz. We asked what was included in the menu and were told any two courses except the cheese. When the bill came however we were charged the price for each course off the menu which was more expensive. When we queried this the waitress said it was cheaper for us this way. No it wasn't so we asked again for her to correct the bill. She came back with a new bill which had £2.50 deducted. Still wrong. We asked again for a new bill which was finally correct. A pity as it was otherwise a good meal in a nice location.

   Excellent food in lovely surroundings. Staff generally really helpful and attentive. A bit pricey for lunch.

   My notification of a birthday celebration ignored - disappointing Main course of gnocchi very small in size. The teo chicken mains ordered were ok size. When I commented on the small gnocchi portion, only comment was would I like to order some fries!! Rose wine very nice and beautifully cold. Dessert of chocolate mousse also very nice. Food overall was nice, but service felt very impersonal. Unless facing the outside rooftops, the view was just of a white wall, disappointing for me, ok for my guests as the could see the beautiful rooftops. Overall experience not what I had hoped.

   We enjoyed a beautiful lunch to celebrate a birthday - impressed by service, food quality and atmosphere. Not pretentious (which I feared it might have been!) and generous portions of all menu options we chose. The lamb was particularly delicious - as was the treacle tart!

   The staff were lovely and helpful, the location was great and the food was tasty. Had a really nice time and definitely would go again next time we're at the museum!
