We are the new kid on the block in Stillorgan. However, the three owner-chefs are old hands, having honed their skills at a variety of Japanese restaurants over the past ten years.
We specialise in authentic traditional tapas, such as Yakitori, Teppanyaki, and fresh Sashimi, with a wide selection of Sake and Japanese drinks to accompany. "Okonomiyaki" is the most famous street food in Japan these days, and in Dublin, you can only try it with us!

I had requested through opentable that we had one of the private dining rooms with the low table for the novelty factor for the children. When we arrived, it was news to them and they hurriedly arranged it after asking permission feom someone, so if the place had been busy we would not have had the requested room. The private room needed a deep deep clean. The cushions to sit on were dirty so much so my young children noticed. It felt very grimy and really let the experience down. The food was served very quickly it was not good. We didn’t feel it was freshly made. The waitress forgot things like the water and had to be asked to take the starter dishes away. Very disappointing dining experience and not worth the 126 euros charge or traveling from Dublin 6. It could be a great authentic restaurant that maximized the Japanese dining experience but the owners clearly don’t care enough about the detail or have much pride in their restaurant. Such a pity.

Restaurant itself has a lot of hard surfaces and feels a little bit basic. Air con was on - never a good idea in Ireland at any time of the year never mind January. In fairness staff were very happy to turn it off when asked but by then we were all cold. Lighting a little too bright for me. Music was positively depressing- they really need to do something as about this. Prices are very reasonable and BYOB is great. I hope they address the criticisms because the most important and most difficult thing - the quality of food - is really good. I’d love to go back but will hesitate until they make it just a little cosier.

Sushi is always fresh & tasty. We always get a few selections of nigiri + a main each. Chicken Katsu Curry is one of our favorites!! Unagi Don and Cha Han are really delicious as well!!

Didn’t try any many courses but place seemed very popular so maybe worth trying again.
