The Anglesey Arms is nestled in the picturesque hamlet of Halnaker, renowned as a red-brick village favourite with both returning locals and fleeting visitors needing some respite. Our newly refurbished pub offers traditional country charm fused with a renovated contemporary finish throughout all our interiors and gardens. Join us for an amazing pub quiz in partnership with Lucky Saint for the dry January commitments. This quiz will be sure to get the cogs turning and with cash prizes being up for grabs, it's all to play for. £2 cash per person and teams no bigger than 6, book your tables now. The quiz begins at 8pm so feel free to join us for food prior to this and feed those brains ready for the questioning. Enjoy 2 courses for £21 or three for just £26!

That's right... Enjoy dining at the Anglesey with a hint of Scottish heritage. Whether it's the classic - haggis, neeps and tatties or maybe even a haggis wellington, we will be providing a specially crafted menu just for this historical evening. Cosy relaxing surroundings. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food and good value . Steak and lamb were both amazing We will definitely be back !!

Exellent food, service friendly for the meal. Pub was supposed to close at 10pm but stopped serving drinks at 9pm because the staff wanted to close up. It was a shame that such an Exellent meal was ruined by staff who didn’t want to serve more drinks to customers who waited in the bar for 45 mins for a taxi.

Lovely dining experience at the Anglesey Arms. Great atmosphere in the restaurant, would highly recommend the pie and mash. Superb gravy. We will be back.

As ever a great meal at the Anglesey Arms. We both had the beef which was cooked perfectly. A great side dish of cauliflower cheese too. The only issue was being placed near a very large family party who were incredibly noisy. Not the fault of the pub but spoilt the ambience a little. Otherwise a great Sunday Lunch.

Once again an outstanding 5* experience: a tasty leak and potato soup, a perfectly executed creamy pappardelle with chicken and my usual favourite, a warm mini brownie with ice-cream to finish 😋 The service was impeccable, attentive and friendly and the atmosphere just perfect.

Had boxing day lunch here. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There were many vegetarian options available and they all sounded delicious!

Our experience was acceptable but nothing special. We had a table for 8 which consisted of 2 ill fitting tables pushed together and we were short of a chair and had to ask for one. The location of the table wasnt great as it was away from the main areas of the restaurant so lacked ambiance. The wine was a little warm. The chips on one order were cold. There wasn’t a lot of attention given by the staff.

We're sorry that you felt that the tables were ill fitting and that you had to ask for an extra chair. We note that you requested a quiet table away from any doors & can only assume this is why you feel the restaurant lacked ambience due to the location of your table. We hope you mentioned the wine being a little warm and the chips cold at the time as we would've been more than happy to rectify this for you.
