We were waiting for almost 40 minutes to get our bill. Our waiter Micheal left without telling us and no one was there to help until we informed another waiter.

My experience at Anejo, the Don Mills location was something that I did not expect. I have visited other locations previously and the service was amazing. While the greeter was pleasant and the waiter that served our food was kind, the actual waiter that took care of our section was rude and disrespectful. We were seated and waited over 20 minutes to have our order taken, while others were being served that had arrived there after us, we were not provided a drink menu until we asked and did not have our plates cleared or even offered a dessert menu. The waiter did not even come by to see if we wanted our bill, I had to flag another waiter down to ask for our bill and a take away container after waiting an hour without anyone coming to check in. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have encountered at Anejo.

Overall the experience was positive. Servers were helpful and super friendly. Food was excellent. Everyone at the table enjoyed the meal completely and they were more than willing to accommodate one of our group who has special food restrictions. Guac and salsa was excellent, all the meals and sides excellent! On the downside, there was confusion with our initial appetizer orders, we were delivered items we did not order, and there was just a bit of general confusion about that. When we called it to attention it was corrected but that delayed the meal. The major issue for us as a group of six was the noise level. The music was blaring so loudly it was very hard to have conversation. A few decibels lower still would have been energetic but not left is with our ears ringing.

Had an amazing time, food was nice and flavourful and there was lots of it. The service was awesome, the server was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. Noise level was a little high if you're looking for a quiet conversation ... :D. Place is full of energy!!

Enjoyed the bar window area with the heater overhead. The staff is amazing and loved the mixed drinks with amazing tacos!

Happy hour tacos are the best deal! Pork was so tender, the best option tonight (I got 2)! The shredded beef was flavourful (a bit dry, found a large piece of fat which definitely contributed to flavour but would’ve been nice cooked down) and the crispy fish was okay…very good with their spicy mayo sauce. Tried the salsa taster platter- phenomenal! The regular salsa could’ve used some salt but the refried beans could’ve been in a whole bowl, it was smooth and packed a lot of flavour. Always a great time at Anejo.

The hostess who welcomed us was not friendly at all and had gave us attitude. However our waiter was great food was good and going for happy hour provided great value.
