   This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. Creative and delicious food, excellent service, and a great vibe. One of the city’s best!

   Stunning Chinese food very accurate and legible . Wines should be less expensive and the choice in relation with the spicy spirit of Anna’s food . Its a real sommelier skill !

   Came in with moderate expectation and a large group right after lunar new year, heard good things but never anything out of this world and honestly had a shockingly good experience. The dishes were a lot more complex than we anticipated, we tried the entire a la carte menu. The favourites were: * radish cake (exceptional) * parmesan tapioca fritters (exceptional) * pork wontons and noodles * char siu pork * charred miso black cod Overall everything was at least good with 5 dishes being great to exceptional. Great value for money, one of the best restaurants at this price point. Staff is attentive and super friendly, food comes out pretty quick. Only wish is a slightly bigger drinks menu (maybe more wine by the glass / sake)

   We had a 9:45 reservation but as soon as we got there it was clear we were an annoyance. There were 2 four tops that were there before us and were still there when we left so I’m not sure why we were treated so brusquely. The woman leading FOH was very stern and didn’t give us any welcome or context about the menu. When we asked her about wine she was visibly annoyed. The food was amazing! I will dream of that squid fried rice for years. My partner ordered the pork dish but was given a skirt steak it was good but not what we ordered and we were too nervous to let them know. The 2 apps we ordered were a bit redundant on flavor and texture but we were given no guidance. All the food was very very good. The other parties were very loud so we couldn’t talk much. We’re both industry so it was an odd experience- I rarely give a poor rating but it was disappointing.

   Ben was our waiter & somm - amazing energy as soon as we arrive. We went with the “Let Alma Guide You” option and they didn’t disappoint. You don’t need a 200 item menu, full cocktail bar and 500 wine bottle selection to enjoy a restaurant. I was impressed.

   The only thing that I would recommend is to change the wine glasses, because as a wine drinker, drinking from a small glass for red wine is less than ideal. I loved the restaurant and I will definitely be back!

    The food and staff at Alma were absolutely amazing! The standout dishes for me were the yellowfin tuna tartare—so fresh, with that delightful puffed rice cracker—the perfectly cooked duck, and the scallion baos. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, making the entire experience exceptional. I’ll definitely be back for another unforgettable meal. Highly recommend!
