First time at Alara and it did not disappoint!!! Was my bday and our server was exceptional, great menu and they work with my gluten free allergy as a little of the menu items are gluten free as well. They went aboye and beyond and the experience was great!!! Will definitely return!!!

We were there for a special occasion. It was our First time! We could only get an early table, but we took it. And then we were told they needed our table for the next reservation. When you spend $250+ on dinner, you don’t expect to be rushed out.

The server was trying to add drink orders on a device and got it wrong. Said the bartender didn’t know how to make a scotch and soda. Never got the soda and got the wrong size. The chicken Milanese was overcooked and had no flavor. It came with greens and no dressing or any type of sauce or flavor. The Ceasar salad was made with kale and was too chewy with egg that looked like it went through a blender. Again, where was the dressing? Our friends got the fish tacos and a whole fish was presented with fish sticks in the center. They were also breaded and fried and had little or no flavor much like the chicken. The parking was easy and the decor of the room was nice. It was a bit loud in the room and talking with each other was not easy. We probably will not return. Our friends paid their own tab and for the two of us it was $80.00.

We very much enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Alara. The atmosphere was great. It is not a large restaurant/bar but very ample and not noisy at all even with an almost full room and open kitchen. The food was incredible and the wine selections very good. Service was great and the overall ambiance and vibe was awesome. Glad we found this little gem that is part of some others in the area like Clybourne in Mason OH. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience at Alara. We were celebrating our anniversary and were seated at the chef’s table so we were able to see the preparation of the food. Service was wonderful as well as the food! Everything from the steaks, multiple sides and complimentary appetizer wine pairing and dessert were spot on! They made our night extra special, we are looking forward to returning!

Everything about Alara wowed us! One of my dearest friends was in town to visit and we are both foodies! I had heard great things about Alara from other friends, so we decided to try it. I'm so glad we did. The valet parking is so nice, especially since the weather was snowy the night we dined. The atmosphere is elegant and beautifully done. No detail was overlooked. The service was impeccable. Askia, our server, was delightful...so knowledgeable. Everything he suggested was outstanding. We ordered a bottle of wine to complement our dinner choices and that enhanced the meal even more. Portions are large and perfect for sharing. I took home quite a bit for leftovers which was a huge bonus. If you love beets, the beet and goat cheese salad is a must! For our entrees, we chose the Lobster & Butternut Squash Carbonara and Seared Sea Scallops with Brussels Sprouts & Butternut Squash as our vegetable side dish. All were exceptionally prepared. The Carbonara had a very generous amount of lobster so you got some in every bite! Askia recommended we save room for dessert, and I'm glad we did. We had the Creamsicle Cloud and Chocolate Espresso Torte. The Cloud was the most beautiful dessert I've ever seen and it was equally light and elegant. The Torte was beyond rich and decadent. The Prisoner bottle of wine was delicious with the entire meal, but especially that rich chocolate dessert. Cincinnati is fortunate to have some fabulous restaurants, and Alara is one of them. It is a must for a special occasion or an evening of pampered perfection.

We love dining at Alara. The food and drinks are excellent and the servers are attentive and friendly. Alara has great ambience and many seating options for an intimate dinner or larger gathering.
