Enjoy our traditional afternoon tea in the elegance of The Great Room whilst being entertained by live music. Our three tiered silverstand boasts finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and a delicious selection of cakes, pastries and sweet treats.

I treated my best friend to afternoon tea as a birthday surprise. We had the most loveliest afternoon and the service was exceptional from the moment we entered The Great Room. The food itself was delicious and the Bramble cocktails were amazing also. This won’t definitely be my last visit. Special mention to our server Jodie who was very personable and had excellent knowledge of the cakes and pastries. Can’t wait to return.

We have always enjoyed having Afternoon Tea at the Merchant Hotel. The food is excellent and the staff are very attentive. We have no hesitation in recommending Afternoon Tea at the Merchant Hotel to family and friends.

We had a lovely afternoon tea experience at the Merchant Hotel. The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend!

Afternoon tea was unreal. Ambience & service was exceptional. There was a 10% service charge added on however. I was going to leave a tip but would have liked to have known about the charge.

I booked this experience as a gift (for someone who has everything!) and I'm so glad I did. All I heard back was how impressive every part was - the staff, the ambience, the room, and it goes without saying, the food. For a special occasion, you simply can't pass the Merchant for Afternoon Tea.

Cannot rate this afternoon tea highly enough!!! The building and dining area are beautiful to begin with, the service was outstanding with the most lovely welcoming team where nothing was too much trouble and the food was exceptional, every different treat savoury and sweet was delicious!

First time I have been for afternoon tea. It was the best afternoon tea I have tried in northern Ireland. The place is beautiful and the service was great. I did not feel I was being rushed to leave or have to eat at a fast pace it was very relaxing. Which is what you want to have when you go out. I was meeting my friend for a catch up and a mini celebration of her getting married this year. They brought out a wee congratulations cake which we where not expecting and it was lovely of the restaurant to do this. I will definitely be back again as I had a very enjoyable experience.
