   Have been to afternoon tea in the G before, years ago, and it was a completely different experience. Today, the food was awful. The only thing edible really was the scones which were funny flavours. The rest seemed like it was defrosted with ice flecks and pools of water under them on the plate. There used to be nice mini sandwiches but most of these were barely edible. For 50 euro a head, you would expect a way higher standard. We would have been better off going for lunch somewhere else for half the price. It should be said that the staff were nice. It did say at time of booking theree was a pianist on Saturdays, but there wasn't any music at all. It was very quiet.

   Had a lovely afternoon tea for 3 people. Started with lovely cocktails. Birthday celebration. Nice pianist playing and nice atmosphere. Too much rich sweet selection and not enough savoury "sandwiches" (no sandwiches) there was 4 small savoury items - fillet tartar, trout samosa, goats cheese macaroon, etc... no sandwiches and savoury items were extremely small. Sweet treats were very rich but beautiful, ordered extra scones as cakes were too rich for guests, €10 charge, they were lovely and didn't mind paying. Service and staff were excellent and had a lovely afternoon. I wouldn't order afternoon tea again, I'd be inclined to just order: cocktails or prosecco, sandwiches, scones and tea. As there was a lot of sweet food wasted.

   Gorgeous. Went for our daughter's birthday. They treated her like a princess. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Kasia was so obliging and accommodating. We will be back.

   No staff to show us to table when we arrived , same again when trying to pay , had to get the attention of front reception.

   Great experience and venue for a good natter for the ladies. It was a birthday present and the surprise for the birthday girl made it extra special. Thank you G

   A wonderful experience, food was amazing and atmosphere was fantastic. What really impressed me were the staff, they gave us a 5 star experience. Could not recommend this enough. Thank you!

   The afternoon tea at the G was fabulous! So many kinds of tea to choose from (or coffee, if you prefer). The savory and sweet items were all amazing, but the pastries were the stars of the show! I think we had 6-7 different sweet items and each was outstanding. Service was great, as well, and the room is large, airy, and quiet. Highly recommend!

   On arrival, no great welcome/asked if we could be helped by any staff member as we walked along the corridor...rather felt we were interrupting, informing a staff member I'd booked. When the food arrived it looked "nice", if a little underwhelming. My friend and I are both trained chefs and we both noted the grey section of the smoked salmon had not been trimmed off, which, for any chef working at 5star standard, should know should be done. The scones were miniscule, though did have a nice flavour...the table wobbled and was uneven...5star?? We ordered tea, we had to ask for milk for the English breakfast as it was not offered. A chocolate offering amongst the sweet selection would be a great addition. Overall, it was a disappointing expensive experience. The champagne was nice, but at an additional 20euro each, per glass, I would hope so. Not a patch on Dublin's Shelburne hotels afternoon experience for me, all style and no substance....

    Firstly, it is confusing on entry where to go for your booking. We were sent down the corridor to get to a bar and then brought back up the corridor to where we were to be seated. Seemed to be a bit of confusion amongst 2 staff members finding our booking (I pre booked with a note to say it was our anniversary) but once we were seated the room was beautiful with a window seat. Ambience in the room beautiful with a gentleman playing the piano in the background (well done to him He was great). Extra strong tea was ordered for 1 which we didn’t get. Hard to find a staff member when you needed something as they seemed to vacate the room. No mention to either of us about it being anniversary which would have been a nice touch. menu sounded great but food was only okay, I have had better. Not once did we get asked was everything okay? When we were ready to leave again we had to wait a while before a staff member appeared to organise payment of the bill. It has the prospect of being Better but I could only say it’s okay but definitely not worth the rate they have on it.
