Acres sits in a magnificent heritage room at the historic Ashridge House, where the original dining hall has been lovingly restored to create an enchanting restaurant. The seasonal menus are expertly curated by our resident Head Chef, Paul Patterson. His cuisine reflects the rich history of Ashridge House with dishes inspired by locally grown heritage foods, served up with a modern flourish.

Drinks for Acres are supplied by the Vault, our new beer, wine, & cocktail bar located in Ashridge House’s former Evidence Room. With a warm and intimate atmosphere infused with history, the Vault is the perfect spot to enjoy fine wines, hand-crafted spirits, elegant cocktails and local beers. Singer Alex Jones joins us in The Vault every Sunday in February and March to perform live jazz music, perfect to enjoy after Sunday Lunch and relax into the afternoon.

Wonderful 3 course meal at a reasonable price. A little echoey in the dining room but otherwise very enjoyable. The Jazz set in the Vault bar afterwards was very good too, overall a really enjoyable experience.

Very good quality, delicious Sunday lunch in a beautiful setting. Only watch out is currently unable to spilt bills, but this is being rectified with new system around May time.

Lovely food if on the higher end price wise- wonderful presentation. Wonderful pink roast beef on a Sunday lunch. Kids menu is limited and not really suited to younger children. Service could be more attentive but was not distracting, overall alright. Amazing location on the grounds of Ashridge estatr

Food and service outstanding but a party of 12 made noise levels very high. Service staff were excellent in trying to reseat us.

It was a quiet evening when we went but we all thought it was a wonderful place to eat. The food was very good, particularly a banana and caramel dessert.The service couldn't be faulted . Will go again.

Arrived and waited 20min to order. When we tried to order 4 roast dinners we were told there was only one left. When asking about other options on the menu the waitress had no idea what anything was. The food was tasty, shame about the service and no food.

We visited Acres as a treat for my daughter's 21st birthday and went for Sunday lunch. We had a fantastic time. The food was delicious with the best roast potatoes I've ever had. My daughter is vegan and although there wasn't a vegan pudding on the menu the pastry chef made her a special pudding which was the high standard of all the other food. My father felt the service was a little slow however the rest of us felt it was nice and relaxed and the friendly waitress did apologise for the wait as they were very busy. Beautiful surroundings and easy to park. Will definitely be going again.
