Das im Jahr 2013 gegründete Capitol Cider ist ein Restaurant, eine Bar mit Schanklizenz, ein Getränkeshop und ein Veranstaltungsort für Livemusik im Herzen von Capitol Hill in Seattle. Es bietet mehr als 170 Cidersorten vom Fass und in Flaschen, 10 Sorten Craft Beer vom Fass sowie Spirituosen auf Apfelbasis einschließlich Wodka, Gin und Calvados. Die Speisekarte der modernen Pubküche ist völlig glutenfrei. Die Atmosphäre besticht durch eine dunkle Holzvertäfelung, eine Sammlung von Originalkopien berühmter Gemälde, alten Büchern und historischen Architekturelementen. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich Shuffleboard-Tische, Gesellschaftsspiele, Ratespiele und Fernseher (versteckt) für Sport- & Kulturveranstaltungen. Die Besitzerin Julie Hoch hat ein Kunst- und Veranstaltungsprogramm wie "Drink and Draw", Livemusik, Kunst- und Literaturgespräche, Spieleabende und vielem mehr initiiert. Das Capitol Cider ist mit insgesamt 260 Cidersorten die größte unabhängige Ciderbar des Landes.

    Food was really good, and I didn't even realize it was gluten free until we were leaving and I happened to see it on one of the menus left on the table. So its even better than I thought

    I brought two of my friends to dinner here last night and the chef was the host. He was really wonderful and helpful with selections of our meal and desserts. We couldn’t decide which dessert to have so he brought four of them out for us to try. He was very charming and we had a wonderful time. The food is absolutely delicious and I love being able to go to a restaurant that I can eat. Anything they just one of my favorite places to go in Seattle. I would highly recommend it and you definitely need reservations.

    We had multiple dietary restrictions in our party (vegan, dairy-free, low sodium, and alcohol-free wine and cocktail drinkers) and everyone had multiple options to choose from and everything was delicious. While nobody in our party is gluten-free, none of us could really tell the breads and pasta from the gluten versions. The service was also great: friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. We will certainly return!

    Our NYE dinner was a bit frustrating as only 1 option for 2nd and 3rd course were available which was very upsetting. The 4th course option was the Filet Mignon and even though we ordered medium the steak was rare and had to be re-made. Even though the ambience and the service was good, the frustration will probably keep us from coming back soon.

    We had the NYE dinner at a stir, and it was great! It’s so amazing to have this dedicated GF kitchen restaurant, and the menu accommodated our additional needs (no eggs/dairy) as well, while having a really fun course menu for the special occasion. I had the duck and my husband had the vegan lasagna, which managed to be very cheesy and rich tasting. We even got to have 2 different desserts to have & compare, which almost never happens while being GF/DF/egg-free. Everything was delicious. The cocktail menu was fun too, with good zero-proof selections to boot. We have memories of having good cider flights here too, which we’ll have to reprise. We will definitely go back.

    Thanks Aya. I was sort of worried about that lasagna. I had made it vegetarian before, but not vegan. It turned out well, didn't it? A few asked me to put it on the menu. Will put it on the specials list to see if it does well. Thanks for the lovely feedback. I remember your table not being ideal (in the middle of the room and probably loud).     Excellent menu. Dishes well prepared. Cider flight was okay; 1 excellent, 1 not so much, and 1 pretty terrible.

    A Magical Birthday at A Stir We celebrated a birthday at A Stir with a group of 10, including friends with dietary restrictions like Celiac, dairy and alcohol allergies, vegan, and vegetarian diets. The staff was incredibly accommodating, and our server made our large group feel like an intimate table. Everyone loved their food and beverages—no one felt left out. The flavors, quality, and care were outstanding, creating a truly magical experience for our guest of honor. The atmosphere added to the magic, creating the perfect backdrop for our celebration. It truly felt like a special occasion, and our guest of honor couldn’t stop raving about how perfect everything was. A Stir is a must-visit for anyone looking for impeccable food, outstanding service, and an inclusive dining experience. We can’t wait to return!
