Ristorante A CA MIA is open every April and closes at the end of Fall.

We are located across from the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on the Washington Street Mall. We are available for Private Parties, Rehearsal Dinners, and Christmas Parties.

The historical building that now houses Ristorante A CA MIA was built in 1872. William Essen operated a bakery and ice cream parlor until 1914 when he sold it to his niece and her husband, Carl and Margaret Kokes. The business remained in his family for over 60 Years. The bakery is one of the oldest bakeries in continuous operation in the country. By the mid 1930s, the ice cream parlor had become the dining room and the business was operated as a restaurant as it is to this day. Our kitchen is under the direction of Chef Todor Videv. We are available for private parties. We offer early seating dinner selections. We accommodate well behaved children.

Lovely little BYO on The Mall. Food & service are great. The only disappointing thing was we were seated nearly 30 minutes after our reservation, and we had to wait outside… and it was cold! Or appears that they overbooked, by quite a lot, so all reservations were seated late. Other than that, food & service were wonderful.

Kevin was our server and very attentive. We did have to wait, though it was a busy night so it was understandable and the staff was very apologetic which we appreciated. I had the steak and my husband had the chicken parmigiana. Would recommend both! And recommend Kevin as a server!

We had reservations but still had to wait outside for 15 min in the cold but once we were seated the service was great. The tortellini Alfredo special was delicious. The clams oreganato was especially tasty. Nice convenient location to everything as well.

Food was amazing. Desert was out of this world. Staff was super friendly- working really hard on a very busy Saturday night.

After 21 years of dining here during our annual girls’ Christmas trip, we’ve decided not to return. The quality of the food has declined significantly, even as prices have increased. While we understand that rising costs affect restaurants, a decline in food quality alongside higher prices is unacceptable. The experience was further ruined by the incredibly loud atmosphere. Although we’ve tolerated the noise in the past because the food was worth it, this visit was particularly uncomfortable. A “spirited” patron initiated a disruptive singalong of The Twelve Days of Christmas, running from table to table with a makeshift “microphone.” This disrupted service and raised the noise level to an unbearable degree. While management and staff appeared annoyed, they did nothing to intervene. We enjoy having fun and might have appreciated something like this if it happened outside, but this was a special occasion where we waited all year to catch up. Instead, we couldn’t hear each other and still paid a steep bill. Adding to the disappointment, despite making a reservation over a month in advance, we were left standing outside in the freezing cold for 30 minutes, with a physically disabled elderly person and two pregnant women in our group. We are deeply disappointed. It’s a shame because we had many good years here, but this is the end of the road for us. Wishing the restaurant the best, but we won’t be back.

Service and food were great! It was the night of the holiday parade in cape may and I thought the service and food might be rushed, but it was great! Really impressed.

We come here pretty much every year to celebrate my wifes birthday. Staff is freindly and enaging. Food is exceptional and a good size portion.
