   I had been raving about 801 being the best Tyson's area steakhouse shortly after they opened. Recently though, things have started going south. At a previous visit I had been told that medium rare is now oddly (and only at 801) a cool red center. If wanting a true medium rare, you need to order medium at 801. So after my earlier mishap (getting a cold steak), I now ordered medium, and inside temp came out OK, but steak is not seared on the outside, and frankly lacking taste. They have also taken the dry aged ribeye off the medium, leaving you with just wet aged ribeye (don't take it !), or a $ 110 Delmonico (26 oz, bone in... was OK for my wife and I, but wouldn't feed two guys.

   Danielle's service was exceptional. The food was just okay, with the exception of green beans and the prime rib. If they had enhanced the seasoning, I do believe the food would have been an 8. The crab cake was disappointing and not representative of the DMV area, as it had a lot of filling.

   What started as a meetup for happy hour turned into us staying for dinner. The food and the ambiance were great, and the service was spectacular. Can't wait to visit again.

   Excellent food and wine menu and the steaks are “Prime” and cooked properly. Delicious sides - gotta rock lobster mac n cheese if you go.

   My husband raved about the location in Missouri so we booked for his early birthday dinner. Ambience was nice but it was a bit loud as there was a larger party seated near us who were very loud. Service was great but the food, sadly, was not. The steaks came out warm, not hot, and lacked flavor (filet & NY strip). My husband’s strip was slightly overcooked. Thank goodness I ordered the surf & turf that came with a madeira sauce or my under seasoned steak would have ruined my meal. The broccolini and fries were good and desserts (cookies & soufflé) were decent. The highlight of my meal was a French 75 that was delicious! Overall an okay experience but we won’t be returning.

   Food was phenomenal!! I would say easily one of the top steakhouses in the area. Everything was great, ambience, service, speed, and food quality. A bit on the pricier side but you clearly get what you pay for in this place. Got the wet aged bone in filet special and dry aged rib eye (along with some sides.). Chocolate soufflé for dessert is huge and the real deal!!

   The most beautiful restaurant in the Tysons Corner area with the highest quality of food served expertly by Millissa in the bar area booths. Oysters Rockefeller are the best tasting of any of the competition. Scalloped potatoes and Broccolini were excellent. Chef Donald was off but sous chef Spencer made sure that our dinner was perfect 👨‍🍳

    In the beginning we had a long intro with all the wagyu steaks. It would’ve been better to ask if we would like an intro on the steaks instead of just jumping into it. In the beginning, I didn’t mind it but it lasted over 3 minutes. I kindly had to cut off and ask to start ordering. We ordered Bone Marrow and 3 pieces came but one was pretty much pure bone. They kindly took care of the matter, which I very much appreciated This was my third time coming here in February. Each service was great, which is why I came back with different guests. My first two encounters were great 5/5. This one was 4/5: -we had to call the server for water refill -we asked the food runner if they could also take the empty plate since our table was getting full and he said No. We were all surprised since he had an empty cart that can take away some of the empty plates -a bone marrow of only bone should not be served -the steaks were cooked to perfection! 5/5
