Great new restaurant in Oceanside, easy parking in a strip mall. Don't be deceived by outside. Food is fantastic, wine list was minimal but good selections. I loved that they explained each plate since we couldn't pronounce them!!! Portions are not overly huge so trying various plates was exciting. Can't wait to go back! Great job to these two owners/chefs!

The restaurant remodel is not complete. You could see drywall screws on the walls little disappointed with the character of the building. The food was so so but for $1000 dinner you would expect a little bit more. I hope it makes it.

We came in excited to try this new restaurant after hearing about it on San Diego magazine, however, we were underwhelmed upon walking in for a Valentine’s dinner. The decor and ambiance are lacking and the food was mediocre.I would rate the tasting menu a 2 out of 5. However the wine was great. We will not be returning.

Love this place. The food is always going to charm and surprise you. The chefs are literally foraging for the freshest ingredients and putting their creativity into the dish. But on top of that the vibe is chill and the service staff are new but they always put their best foot forward. Great food and service with no pretension- 10/10.

Third time back in four months. Worth the drive to Oceanside. 24 Suns is doing something few restaurants do: take pride and ownership of every morsel of food on your plate, from the 21 month aged house made soy sauce to the foraged rare matsutake mushrooms. I have no experience in fine Chinese fusion cuisine, but I have enjoyed almost every dish served. Flavors and textures are unique, on point, and table conversation pauses with each course to discuss the dish… or simply savor. Service is friendly, attentive and accommodating of dietary needs. They do pairing menus often; we did the tea and dinner pairing, which was a unique and delicious endeavor. Cocktails are also unique and exceptional. I have respect for chefs pushing themselves out there with confidence in a crowded dining scene flooded with established restaurant groups. The dining room is now undergoing renovations after almost a year open but the time spent in the dated space has cemented 24 Suns as one of my favorite restaurants.

Awful experience, cheap/tacky decor, manager and chef were at odds on the menu and we were told as such. Portions small and overpriced. Drinks were devoid of alcohol and mostly ice. The staff kept telling us to come back after a future renovation. Don’t open if you’re not ready for prime time. Took forever to bring our food even though the place was virtually empty. Tastes were off. You would be well advised to get your Chinese food fix elsewhere.
