Malerische Aussicht

Built in 1903, The Echo Building was home to the Sea Coast Echo newspaper and is a great example of early 20th Century architecture on the Gulf Coast. After Katrina, Ann Tidwell, her family and local residents began the arduous journey to restore the historic structure, working tirelessly to restore its rustic charm by reclaiming original wood beaded boards and exposing massive wooden support beams.

Following Katrina, in 2011, we were the first to reopen on the Bay. We serve lunch and dinner seven days a week and we feature fresh local seafood, savory steaks and delicious home-style dishes.

The Bay Bar offers hand-crafted cocktails and a large variety of liquor choices. The Oyster Bar next door is the local's favorite for raw and charbroiled oysters! The BSL Lounge upstairs features a spectacular view of the Bay. It's the perfect place to unwind for sporting events and live music on Thursday and Friday nights. Our rooms are all available for private meetings and receptions.

The service was exceptional as was the menu.. We were 2 couples celebrating birthdays, and the staff made it a special evening. New Chef was truly on point, and personally followed up with our experience. Looking forward to another visit soon, and highly recommend.

Not at all up to standard. One of the starters arrived with his main course, when it was brought back it was cold. My husband had the steak which should have come with mashed potatoes but didn't. The new manager dealt with our complaints well. A very disappointing evening.

Service was great ! Food as average , our oysters we got were over cooked and kind of burnt. My pecan crusted trout was good . My wife’s steak was very bland and undercooked.

We ate here on a Tuesday evening, so it was not crowded. I had the pasta with shrimp, crawfish and fried oysters, which was excellent. We eat here every time we visit the Bay St. Louis, MS area and never had anything but good fresh food.

Was very excited about the menu and location, but disappointed with the food and service. Oysters were ok. Pasta and crab bisque were good, but ALL our food came out cold. After asking twice for a soup spoon, I was brought a plastic to go set up. Never was able to even get my water glass filled. Restaurant has potential, but needs to figure out some things before I would return.

Excellent cocktails and great atmosphere right on the beach. Food is very average. Good, but nothing special or extraordinary. Best key lime martini I’ve ever had.

Ordered a filet, it was not only a poor cut of beef but it was seasoned to a point of being un-eatable and whatever the chef did it was way too hot spice wise. I’ve never had a filet seasoned for me, I like to salt and pepper it myself. Asparagus was whimpy an tasteless. I don’t know what happened cause I ate there some time ago and it was a real true filet …thick juicy and flavorful and not seasoned with whatever it was. Very disappointing but on a good note the potato chips and French onion soup were delicious.

Great location!! Food and drinks were great, but we did wait a few minutes too long for our entrees. Ryan and his partner upstairs (Samantha??) were awesome, always made sure we were doing good!! 100% will return!
