“The leading restaurant in the New River Valley, Preston’s specializes in farm-to-table dining featuring premium meats and sustainable fresh seafood choices. Preston’s local artisan cheese selection, signature dishes such as the Seared Atlantic Salmon, the locally famous House-smoked Trout Crostini, and - of course - sumptuous house made desserts are some of the reasons you want to visit. Currently, Preston's is serving an ala carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Preston's Restaurant and Continental Divide Lounge are open, with social distance seating. Take out is available.

Very Limited Menu for Dinner (could do better with more mid-price options) - - lunch and Breakfast are Buffets so if you are not big eaters, not the best value. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options if you are a big eater from continental options to full breakfast - - $16 plus tax - some food was a bit salty - service is great - however, the breakfast start at 7am ends at 10 am (does not align well with admission tour times that run from 8:30 until after 10:30 some mornings - and lunch doesn't start until 11:30 - Great Service very clean - food decent

Our first time visiting Preston’s. We had the breakfast buffet. It was a typical buffet. It was good but the food could have been warmer. The cheese grits were delicious.

My wife had a stir fry vegetable risotto and liked it. I had salmon and it was very under cooked, raw in the middle. So I only ate about half of it. My wife had ice cream from desert and said it was good but I had the lava cake and again only ate about half of it because it was basically just chocolate cake with some strawberry topping. There was no "lava" center at all. Was rather disappointed with our experience here. Will probably not go back.

Service and dining room area was great! They were out of scrambled eggs, French toast, and grits were very dry, they need another egg option besides scrambled eggs (out of) and boiled eggs. Coffee was good they were tight with the cream. Be great if they offered room service.

Food was mediocre. Very salty. One order was wrong and when I brought it to server’s attention she acted put out. Service was extremely slow. Would not go back.

The service was slow. Appeared to be a student-run restaurant. I ordered an appetizer. It never came. I had to tell the server to cancel it when our entrees came out after a long wait. I ordered a steak medium rare. They served me a well-done steak and told me that it must have been mixed up with another table. Had to wait for another steak. The second steak actually tasted very good. They comped us a dessert for our trouble, which was nice. The dessert was their special bread pudding, which we did not care for.

For a formal brunch like this, the food was great. I love a carving station! While the meat was cooked nice and med-rare, it was a bit tough. Eggs benedict were terriffic, especially considering they were in a warming pan.. the Bacon was not crispy, unfortunately, but the sausage was tasty. Service was friendly. My only complaint is that IMO a Bloody Mary should have a bit more spice (especially when requested) and maybe more than just a lime wedge? I think of this drink as the quintessential brunch cocktail, and it was way below standard.
