Borealis Bistro is a student run dining experience. By incorporating menu planning, plate presentation, food preparation, hosting, table service, time budgeting and management, students are given real-world restaurant experience. Located in the James T. Hutchison High School, operated by the UAF Community and Technical College's Culinary Arts & Hospitality Program, Borealis Bistro operates seasonally on Thursdays. Borealis Bistro has a Prixe Fixe Menu, for $15, that includes a choice of soup or salad, entree and a beverage. Appetizers and deserts are available for an additional fee. Reservations are required and may be booked Friday thru Wednesday, with a text to follow. Borealis Bistro reservations may be made two weeks in advance.
