The restaurant is run by Sammy himself, who is a skilled sushi chef and single handedly created the menu which he prepares every night. Sammy's isn't very big so on weekend evenings guests are encouraged to make a reservation as the dining room fills up quickly. Sammy's does have a few options that aren't raw such as the edamame and wakame appetizers, but for the most part the menu is made up only of sashimi, sushi and nigiri options. Sammy's has a huge selection of fish and seafood for its rolls and combination plates as guests will find shrimp, tuna, squid, quail egg, salmon, tobiko, octopus, white tuna, yellowtail tuna, scallops, egg, roe, mackerel and fresh water eel available to try.

One of the most unique and creative sushi restaurants I have eaten at. I have eaten here five times now and every time it has been special. The fresh and unique seafood from Japan presented in a very creative fashion. Service knowledgable and on spot. Will be back.

Excellent food and service, a bit on the pricey side, but on par with other restaurants. One critique is that the music playing was very loud, hard to have conversation with table mate. Would love to have music turned down just a bit. Otherwise, very happy. First time going there, will go back!
