Mimi’s Bakehouse is a second-generation family business established in Edinburgh in 2010, when Michelle Phillips sold her family home to open a bakery café in Leith. We have gone on to build a local success story brand that gives people a ‘hug when they walk in the door’ as the original café has since doubled in size and the business has gained five more shops, a successful website selling cakes online and a concession at Archerfield Walled Garden. We also opened an industrial bakery in March 2020, out of which most online trade is produced for fulfilment. This was our second time in the restaurant and did not disappoint.There’s a very relaxed atmosphere The staff are lovely and there’s no sense of rush.You are made to feel very welcome..The only thing I wasn’t so keen on was the TV screen showing football games distracted our football mad family from entering into any other conversation!This is not a criticism of the restaurant as I knew what to expect before we went.We will be back.

The volunteer arms was brilliant. Food was lovely and the atmosphere was great. Staff were very friendly and gave treats to the dogs too! I will be coming back again
