Lovely lunch with old uni friends today. Friendly service and the food was lovely as always.

We were at Doddington Hall and the room we were in was large and well decorated with many lights and a large Christmas tree and welook out to a layer of genuine snow, it looked so Christmassy. We were well looked after and served with a super Cream Tea. It was delicious.

The service and quality of food are outstanding. Although the restaurant was quiet at lunchtime there was a comfortable ambience. All the staff were able to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

Excellent value for money Sunday Roast, I had Gammon, Pork and Turkey and all three were very tasty. Very good veg also. Too full for dessert. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent choice of drinks.

Lovely setting, beautiful savouries and scones. For the price there were far too many sweet treats- these were lovely but became simply inedible due to the sheer size and amount. The amount of pistachio crème on the mince pie was somewhat sickly and I think substance over style would be more appreciated. Our waiters were lovely though, and nothing was too much. Also- it would be nice to have proper boxes to take sweet treats home in as again, it was simply impossible to eat that much sugar in one sitting.
