We are an authentic Italian wine café, proud to offer quality Sicilian wines and spuntini appetisers across the UK. In the spring of 2013 something extraordinary happened. Two Italian guys in their twenties met in Manchester to find out that they shared a unique passion; they both loved and missed, the Italian Aperitivo, the ritual of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. A daily occasion to share moments of happiness with friends and family. By the end of that very same year, Veeno was born: a place where everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic Spuntini – platters of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers. Our wines come from Caruso & Minini, our family vineyard back in Sicily where great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. Since then, we have been working hard to ensure that our quality and tradition could flow from the bottles to the glass in your hand.

We arrived over an hour early for our booking as our timings didn’t work out. The lady at the front desk got us seated within 5 minutes although they were very busy. Our server Gemma was very helpful and personable. My husband is coeliac and the menu is very well marked for allergens. There is a wide choice and we were confident that all intolerances were taken very seriously. They served a lovely complimentary GF bread with dips. I would definitely recommend and teturn.

We booked this for a company meal and it wasn't quite the right vibe for it. It's better for a quick meal with a glass of wine and a chat, not so much a sit-down as it was noisy. But the staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful, the food was great as well. One of our party was dairy-intolerant, which we mentioned as we were greeted, but then that wasn't passed onto our server. So my colleague ended up with a big ball of mozzarella on her pizza. Mistakes do happen and we should've also mentioned it to the server. And once they realised the mistake, the staff were great about it, offered to make a new pizza, get us some extras and in general were very accommodating. So a lovely place, good food, good staff and nice vibe.
