The Punchbowl is a 17th century gastro pub, located in the heart of rural Essex and the Crouch Valley and the South Essex Salt marshes. We offer nose-to-tail style menu, with unpretentious dishes that focus on flavour. Everything is made in house - from bread to mayonnaise, and we use local, seasonal and organic ingredients. Mit Reservierung bekamen wir zur vereinbarten Zeit einen Tisch. Das Ambiente ist wie erwartet lebhaft, was zum Gesamtbild passte. Das Essen war etwas scharf und die Portionen trotz Hauptgericht relativ klein. Deshalb der Abzug beim Preis. Ansonsten hat es uns gut gefallen.

Top, wir waren zum Frühstück da und waren sehr positiv überrascht! Geschmacklich sehr gut und freundliche Bedienung. Definitiv eine Alternative zum klassischen Frühstück.
