Birthday lunch with friends . Loved everything . My first visit although my husband has been before . Loved everything . Really friendly team serving and the food was just delicious couldn't fault it ! Empty plate full tummies and abit of leftover cheese ( the best of the best cheeses !) to nibble on the train journey home ! What a joy to go somewhere where no corners were cut . From start to finish going to Stage is a wonderful experience. The ambience is casual, intimate but not stifled. Grace is a fabulous staff member who is warm and enthusiastic about the menu. The food was again totally delicious- we have never eaten the same dish twice. The presentation is always thoughtful but unfussy. I particularly enjoyed the celeriac dish that kicked off a beautiful stream of dishes. The chef serves along with the other waiting staff and seems genuinely interested in diners food experience. He is so talented. We love this restaurant- it is the best dining experience in Exeter and is incredibly good value for money. We have already booked our next visit.

Excellent Sunday roast with the family. Good beef perfectly cooked, and excellent service and very good value. We used to come regularly in the middle of winter for Sunday roasts. £2.0o a head in those days but it was 45 years ago!! Set menu Beef/ pork/lamb, rotated each week, and jugs of beer on the table!

Great ambiance, very busy, great food and great service. Right in the center of Exeter. The place is very cheerful with all the colors and decorations inside. I recommend it for any occassion.
