Loved it! Always have shepherds pie can’t beat it!

I treated my best friend to afternoon tea as a birthday surprise. We had the most loveliest afternoon and the service was exceptional from the moment we entered The Great Room. The food itself was delicious and the Bramble cocktails were amazing also. This won’t definitely be my last visit. Special mention to our server Jodie who was very personable and had excellent knowledge of the cakes and pastries. Can’t wait to return.

Lovely food & atmosphere, a great evening with friends

White’s is a large building with several areas. We enjoyed a drink in the beer hall before going through to the tavern for food. We had the arancini to start, which was very tasty. For our mains I had the steak sambo and my wife had the stew. I really enjoyed my meal. The steak was well cooked and had very little fat but what made it was the horseradish type gravy that came with it. I put this over the steak and mixed it into my mash. Stunning. My wife enjoyed her stew but was hoping it had come out hotter than it did, but she did say it was full of flavour.

Took my son & mum out today for lunch. Was very quiet so was seated right away. Ordered chicken stack with pepper sauce, asked for chunky chips instead of champ. Was a really lovely meal. Chicken was tender, chips were so nice, only they put the chips in the dish would have preferred separate. Mum ordered braised beef which she loved & my son got the brisket burger which he said was delicious. Had been before for food and was still as good as last time. Service was also good. It's nothing fancy but the food makes up for that. Would defo recommend.
