Mauro, the chef, and his wife Tina, have an huge amount of experience behind them.Mauro is from Naples, Tina was born in a little sicilian town near by Enna.He began to learn everything about the southern cuisine by his experience in Naples since he was a child, from “Polipetti alla Luciana” to “Paccheri ai frutti di mare”. Furthermore he moved in Milan and he had the chance to learn the northern cuisine, from “Risotto ai funghi porcini” to “Polenta grigliata”, one of his favourite specialties!From an ancient sicilian tradition, Tina learnt everything about the desserts by her grandmother and her mother, from “Millefoglie” to “Cannoli cake”.We hope you enjoyed reading about us.

IMPORTANT NOITCE: Since we use both Opentable and the Touchbistro reservation system we will limit Opentable reservations during busy days, you can still reserve on google/touch-bistro, or you can always call us! This way we avoid overcrowding, thank you for your understanding!Our restaurant and pizzeria Maestrale it's the wind that brings good and bad weather in the Italian peninsula. Our small family owned place is open for dinner six days a week. Our dishes originally are from Puglia in south Italy: la puccia, focaccia, mozzarella, orecchiette, panzerotti and the sea food dishes, the famous Pugliese olive oil as well as the fine selection of wine are a must! The atmosphere is friendly, family style dining, and also for romantic and special occassions, inspired from the old style elegant Italian restaurants where you feel just like at home, alla salute!

    First things first, our server / bartender Miko was the absolute best! The menu was diverse, offering something for everyone, and each dish was a masterpiece. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was stunning—clearly crafted with care and expertise. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience!

    Amore's Italian-and-Portuguese menu is consistently excellently preparedm and our service was wonderful. Amore is nearly unique in its commitment to dinnertime live music; our keyboard vocalist was both terrific background and great fun. I happily recommend Amore among Sarasota's many excellent restaurants.

    The menu here is so vast and creative. My table was near the kitchen door so I saw all of the scrumptious beautiful dishes coming out of the kitchen. The walnut ravioli with gorgonzola/ pears is so good.. the sauce is light. Squid appetizer the best… so fresh… service was a little slow for a not crowded night but nice…always great food here
