August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. Our menu is influenced by regional food from France, Italy and SpainAugust is open for dinner from 5pm on Wednesday - Saturday, and from 12pm for Sunday Lunch. I took my elderly parents to Vela for a family celebration on a Monday night. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant was clean and beautifully fitted out. We ordered several dishes to share and were very pleased with all of them. Our waiter was helpful, answering our questions and repeating our order back to us to make sure it was correct.

Always lovely. A few small niceties have been stopped (like warm complimentary bread rolls with meals) but 2 course with wine deal is still good value and the food is always outstanding.

Food is delicious, generous portions and service is fast and friendly. Favourites are the sweet and sour Barra, duck pancakes, and Sichuan green beans. Tonight we had sweet and sour Barramundi, Chinese greens, and vegetarian fried rice. Perfect! A restaurant like this deserves a better location! Street noise is always terrible, the engine noise of motorbikes and suped up P platers is amplified on this street. I think there is always a fire siren.

This is our second time dining at Nusa and the food is always delicious. This time we were there for lunch. Eventhough I couldn't say anything bad about the food or the service, we were a bit disappointed as the lunch menu is different to the dinner menu and we couldn't order their delicious dadar jagung and urap sayur. But I should add that we're still very satisfied with the lunch menu. Special mention to Liana and her staff who's always welcoming, friendly and accommodating. 🫶

Lovely decor, nice and quiet for business lunches, staff always friendly and very professional. The food is outstanding and the menu and wine list selection is very good. Been there several times and it's always consistent.
