Vatutto is a family run restaurant, Owners Paul and Myrto Recinella moved from their 16 year Institution at Zios East Melbourne to the Ivanhoe location in 2015. A full renovation was completed recently creating a modern yetelegant atmosphere. Vatutto translates from Italian to ‘Everything goes’ the menu here has a diverse flavour selection from all corners of the earth. Produce here is sourced from premium suppliers, and we use sustainable seafood from Australian or New Zealand waters, Wagyu beef from Gippsland, organic eggs, fruit and vegetables, and quality imported cheese, dairy products and flour. Bread is baked daily and all desserts, pastries and ice cream are all made on the premises using quality ingredients.

We are beyond proud to be bringing Indigenous food and culture back to the banks of Birrarung (Yarra). This River was once an eel breeding ground; where shark, dolphin and stingrays could be found. This place was a main source of food, hunting, cooking, and ceremony. By sharing food in this place, we hope to bring these stories back to life. 'Big Esso' is an expression in the Torres Strait. It’s a slang term that means ‘the biggest thank you.’ This is what you say when you really want to express your gratitude. When combined, ‘Mabu Mabu & Big Esso’ is what you would say before kicking-off a celebration like no other.

Great meal and great experience every time. Two of our seven meals were wrong from what was ordered, but did not complain, and just enjoyed what was served. Will certiainly return sometime soon.

Our first time eating here and we will be back! The food was delicious & generous. You must try the zucchini flowers & the Ragu. Great ambience. Good service. Give it a try if you haven't already.

Visited Vatutto Restaurant for the first time yesterday and we were blown away by the excellent service and the quality and presentation of the meals. The owner and her staff could not do enough for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and we will definitely be going back! Keep up the great work.
