We are located in the centre of the Main Street in Maynooth Co. Kildare above McMahon's Bar.We specialise in serving modern Thai and South East Asian cuisine, along with delicious cocktails, craft beers and wines from around the world. Our style of service is friendly and relaxed as we believe dining out should be a fun and friendly experience. We have an enclosed heated rooftop terrace that comfortably seats up to 30 people all year round and is perfect for birthday bashes and corporate events. We also offer various group menus. We don't charge for room hire once there are a certain amount of people in the private group.We cater for ceoliacs as we have many gluten-free dishes and desserts as well as a gluten-free beer! The Winding Stair Bookshop & Café became a famous Dublin landmark in the 1970s and 1980s. Named after the Yeats poem and in honour of its winding staircase, it is overlooking the river Liffey, with an iconic view of the Ha'penny bridge. As a popular meeting place for writers, musicians and artists, it was a well known hub for debate and creativity with many poems written, novels penned and movies shot within its walls. In 2006, Elaine Murphy brought this much-loved spot back to life as a restaurant, championing seasonal, Irish produce. The bookshop, located on the ground floor, was retained, as were many of the old bookshelves, photos and memories. Everything was perfect! The food was delicious, the place was cozy and the service was outstanding! Perfect for a special dinner. We went there to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and the waiters and waitress were so attentive and made sure it was memorable. Luna was super nice and helpful with her recommendations. We can’t wait to come back and try other dishes, they really were absolutely delightful (and so many vegetarian options!). Highly recommend!

Thank you so much for the lovely food and desserts 🍮 with our afternoon tea experience. We loved the tour around the castle- all absolutely amazing. We loved the atmosphere, Mădălina and Răzvan was very welcoming and made us feel special. Recommend it and would come back anytime. 10/10
