The Japanese film Tampopo was marketed as the world’s first “ramen western”. It’s the story of two truck drivers, Goro & Gun, who use their culinary expertise to change the fate of a struggling noodle shop. Those two characters' passion for noodle-making lives on at Calgary’s 150-seat noodle bar — led by executive chef Ryusuke Araki.     The kaisandon was amazing - the variety of fish slices (perfectly layered on top) were so fresh. The house-made pickles and soy sauce were a perfect complement to the rice dish too. My friends ordered a salmon rice dish with a unique tea broth which they loved too. We went on a Sunday night, so it wasn't too busy. Parking was a little bit of a challenge though. Will be back one day to try the popular Omakase menu!
